Square Enix have decided to release a 14 day free trial, downloadable with 3 content IDs for anyone in North America; perhaps this might help to rope in new custom?

It'll probably seem silly now, cause it seems gil is a lot easier to get. But when they first started doing server transfers, I had let a friend borrow more then 100 million gil worth of armor and he took off with it all. I was ticked. At the same time I had just sold around 20mil worth of stuff just so I could be the first person to get a Hellfire+1. Then a few days later it dropped to 5mil and they were all over the place.

Things just added up and ticked me off. I still loved the game though.

You should just come back on, Gil's in no way easier to get anymore, the economy's really bottomed out, like REALLY bottomed out.
 
I had been thinking that for a while. But I doubt I would ever come back unless I was given an account with relics and Maat's cap. Most the joy came out of being the first to do this and that and seeing things for the first time. I really wouldn't like having to go through all that again.
I'd also feel so far behind, even a Maat's cap and relic wouldn't seem to make up for the lose of time from when I played.

I still check up on the game and visit sites on a daily bases though. The game will never truly leave my heart and mind.

*Shrugs* Part of the fun is doing stuff, I guess. :P

It'd be fun to have someone knowledgable to muck around with :P
 
Gah! Its a shame this is only for North America I would have loved to give this game a try. Oh well maybe they'll offer free trials to the rest of the world sometime -__-

Well, I did go back to my original server with this 14 day trail to say hi to people. Somewhat making me want to come back. But the economy is ridiculous...almost TO low. Things that used to always cost over 20mil are now 100k and lower. Seems like I could buy the entire AH after one days farming.

What server are you on again?

Great thing is, most my highest cash cow always sold to the NPC for the same price. So even in today's standard, it would be a great sell.

On the subject of it, I am disappointed that I can't see the new areas with this trail. That was one of the main reasons I got it. I wanted to see all the new places. I even have the expansions on my computer, but they still won't let me.

This site drives me crazy at times cause my post seem to not go through or disappear for no reason.

Under the NA, there is a EU link as well. And there is a JP link as well.

@Sugo The nice thing is, the things i farm actually sell to NPCs. So they would still sell for the same price.

Thing that disappoints me with this thing is that you can't access the new areas. I really wanted to see them, I even have the new expansions installed but they still won't let me go :(

The EU link is just for the serials, not for the download, I tried downloading it to see if it would work, and it doesn't.

You have the game :P.

yes , and i have the same problem as you , and i played that game for a long time , but i can not play it well , and my character is lower level , and i want to the professional to level it for me ,
