I "might" give this a whirl, a strong emphasis on might mind

I stopped playing MMO's towards the end of last year (been playing them back since the Days of DaoC) and I'm reluctant to get back into them because of several reasons:

1. If its grindy, I lose interest.

2. If there is a be all an end all gear setup and skill setup, you can guarantee I will do anything and everything to make sure I have it.

3. I become notoriously pvp obsessed, there a band of people ganking unsuspecting passers by, you can bet im the one that just picked one of them off as part of some, crazed pvp resistance.

4. I'm known to dump shitloads of hours of my life into them, the min/maxer habit is not a good one.

Sooo I'll have a good long think about it, but dont be suprised if you see a phycho running around in nothing but a loincloth scrapping with gankers and loling at there pitiful attempts to give chase now will you

Sounds a bit like the time I spent camping 23 hours for the mercenaries to spawn on AO, a massive raid group all pulling and killing trash mobs only to get the primus placeholder to spawn about 20 times before Otacluses finally spawned to hand in the letter (boss event trigger)

Think the worst instance was when we did back to back Alien City Raids for an entire day and night, then went to do a beast raid in pandemonium....36 hours of none-stop raiding....I smelt like a dirty frenchman and felt like I was about to pass out.

hmm; the worst, i was i think was me, a rl friend, and 2 of our e-buddys spent about 2 weeks, with only about 2-3 hours sleep every other day, training our pvpers just for 3 shitty levels, my account had something like:

75 att
99 srt
99 def
92 mage
80 range
52 prayer

we pwned big time, and like a day after we came back from a week break, they updated it and made a new area and ABSOLUTLEY SLAUGHTERED the wilderness (pvp area) and made it pointless to pvp neways coz they killed the econimy practically, so i sold the account for £200 on a rs-blkmarket and stopped playing for like a year, but recently so wanted to get onthere coz of bordem

Well I gave it a try, unfortunatley I wasnt very keen, seems a bit too Korean treadmill for my liking (kill 1000's of mobs per level every level) so meh, least I took a look I guess.

It crashed my fucking comp after I spent half an hour flying to Etherblade or whatever to meet Damon Like right when we said hi.

I played this game freakishly hardcore when i first discovered it. I was in love with it as soon i logged in to create my first character, such depth in the creation engine. Then the scenery was beautiful, the server was active as hell and my best mates were playing with me as we competed to see who could lvl the fastest.

Fun times, then i joined one of the top ranked guilds on the server, and the game slowly became a chore. People just play it too hardcore, especially singaporean/malaysian. They pretty much owned the whole fucken server. I got sick of it and i got sick of the grindfest. At lvl 73 it took me 1 hour using an exp scroll while non stop pulling mobs in a full party at the best exp spot for my level to gain a total of about 15% exp. FUCK THAT! They say it's free to play, but any mmo with a cash shop means you wont dominate and be godly unless you pay for items. Wheres the fun in playing an MMO if i cant compete with item shop spammers.

Then i joined a private server with a mate, we got to lvl 80 in a day...so stupid. So then we got ourselves banned by spam dropping these items that had a glitch that caused huge text to appear on the ground. Some whinging fag came and told us to stop, flipped him the e-finger and flamed him down until he called for halp from his admin buddies who ran the server. We ended up getting banned for 300 billion hours. LOL!! fun times.

Its a damn good game imo.... would prolly give it a 4.5/5....... graphics are good, gameplay is good... servers can be a bit laggy, but most MMORPG's can be like that.... i used to play it.... but school started again, so i had to say byebye for now....

Yeah, deffinately the best "free" mmo i've ever played. And if youve got cash to blow on cash shop items, it becomes twice as addictive.

Lmao, i think a couple weeks before i had to quit (temporarily) i made an archer and a wizard and got them both to like level 30 in a couple days each.... rather fun.... i think my farthest character is a lvl 33 Blademaster.....

Yeah, thats the easy part. Once you hit 6x, it starts becoming a chore. 7x = wtf.

I met this girl on Priston tale once, really nice girl who gave me an assload of free gold. I was like =O "omg you're my hero!" And got some leet gears, got to know each other etc. Then i introduced her to APW. Now she's level 100 Honestly wtf!? Getting from lvl 70-80 requires approximately 80-90 hours of grinding. Then it generally doubles/triples from there. I really don't know how they can sit there and kill the same monsters over and over and over....and....yeah. D:

Lol but then again pretty much all MMORPGs' are like that, grinding and questing.... thats about it.... oh and raiding/instances..... But level 100?! Dayum... and i thought the level 67 archer in my guild was badass..... talk about no life huh? <== So me if i had the time

Yeah I played it breifly. I myself was one of those Wolf Barbarian things. I really liked it. Kinda like WoW but a bit simpler. I only got to like Level 8 and then got bored. I deleted it though to make room for WoW which I play on a private server. All in all it was fun though.

Greetings. We have recently started playing Perfect World also. We're a level 24 (almost 25) Psychic. It's actually really fun, and we're having a great time.
