The main reasons Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite FF game are the incredible plot, the depth of the politics, and the masterful characterization.

I thought it would be interesting to see what paralells we could come up with between the game and this world. Know any modern day Ramzas? Agrius'? Or perhaps (dare I say it?) Argaths (Algus)?? Any problems in that world we can find in this one?

I thought about this topic for ages and thats the best I can come up with. The characters are so different to people of our earth.

I think we have a perfect example of an Argath/Algus in reality, and its name is Martha Stewart. Anyone capable of gambling people's investments for the sake of their own, illegaly no less, is definitely worthy of the slimy association with the scumbag. She radiated that sense of "I'm rich, so I'm above sentiment for others" mentality that so defines Argath/Algus.
