Oscar, the Bionic Cat

My mum's dog hates me, cause I used to yell at him and smack him on the butt/or nose for pissing around in the house... but as soon as I have food to give to the dogs he's the first to kiss ass. >.o

Cats are far more loyal. :mokken: Mine will hardly go to anyone else but me. Only thing annoying about him is when I have the laptop in my lap and I'm leaning back against the wall... he comes in and lays right on my stomach, preventing me from seeing anything. Cute, but annoying sometimes. :rage:

Lmao, I remember visiting one of my friends one time. She has tons of cats and dogs, numbering upwards to around 8 pets total. o_O . . . yeah I know, that's a shitload of crap and litter to scoop up and throw away.

Anywho, at one point, I was chilling on her couch watching An Interview with a Vampire and all of a sudden one of her kitties decided to use my tummy as its personal recliner. It was nice but it got annoying when I wanted to bloody get up and stretch.

Also, I don't know how some people can take care of like 10 pets and then still manage to remember how to take care of themselves. I couldn't do it. o_O

We used to have 9 pets at one point. 3 dogs, who were inside and out, and 6 cats, two who were inside only, 4 who were inside and out.

However 4 of them just.. dropped within the span of a month. It was quite sad... one ran away, one hit by a car and left for dead, one frozen in our pool and one overheated/stuck in the vehicle..

o_O Oh my God, I'm so sorry, that must've been so hard. My grandparents' dog, Max, got away through a hole in the fence that keeps their backyard separate from their neighbor's. When I stayed with my grandparents in Jamaica, I became really close to him, he was like, in a cheesy way, a bigger furry brother. They say dogs always find their way back to their owners but Max never returned. He was such a sweet dog. I just hope that where ever he is, that he's safe and warm.

Awr, I'm sorry for your dog. <3

It's sucks, but you know.. I'm kinda used to it. =/ I live in a house near the highway, next to a driveway where people go too fast... and also in the middle of a semi wooded, valley area. So we've lost quite a few cats to the wilderness, a few dogs to the road... but through it all, we've had one cat who has outlasted all of them, and she's still going strong at 17 years of age. My cat Rainbow, meows like a broken record and gets on everybody's nerves... but she's still kicking. =D

That Rainbow's a brilliant little fighter and thank you, it's hard but . . . what are we gonna do. We can only hope. Thankfully the other temporary pets in my life are all okay and staying cute and affectionate. I'd have it no other way.

Unfortunately there isn't much else to do but hope. Maybe he got adopted into another family.. two doors down from our house, these crazy people would randomly 'adopt' animals they saw straying about... they tried to take one of ours once. =/

o_O Why not just buy a dog from a local pet store? I don't understand why some people do that, just steal dogs like that. I mean unless they couldn't afford adopting and/or buying a pet, even so don't steal someone else's pet. And yeah hopefully he's with a sweet family.

I dunno.. I remember our neighbours had pinched a dog or two from a local hospital because they were simply 'wandering around with no one with them.' Sure.. because they're probably inside and didn't want the animal to die of heatstroke in the car.

Yeah, those animals could have had owners, heck, they probably did. The U.S. is so very different from Jamaica, over there the dogs really run rampant, no leashes, half of them strays. It's really sad seeing them so frail just rummaging around for scraps. While you come here and MOST dogs are treated like kings and queens, as they should be. Although there are cruel people here too that mistreat animals . . . leaving them alone in abandoned homes with no food, water, milk, or anything.

I live in Canada and this shit goes on like that. Granted we're also fairly lenient on animals, but I live in a hippie town so that may contribute.

Oh interesting, yeah the town I live in are full of pet owners. There are dogs abound, moreso than cats. I guess people in my town just crave the exercise and the interaction versus being super affectionate with a little kitty.
