Only Zanarkand?

Gosh you are throwing questions left and right, lol.

Dream Zanarkand was in its own area, yes...and not physical, as it's "not real" but it exists.

We don't know how old Tidus is...remember, he is not human. They never stated how old he really was...well they said 17, but...I mean, I would calculate that Dream Zanarkand was built 1,000 years ago prior to the present-Spira. So let's assume about 1,000 years old...but then again, they never stated when the Fayth created Tidus, Jecht, and Auron...could be as soon as Dream Zanarkand was created, or towards the end up until the present-Spira, who knows?

Quite frankly, I'm just formulating my own theories here. xD

i still like my theory. but i guess if you bring in the whole "dream of the fayth" thing, you have to take all that into account...since he was of course a dream of the fayth. but that still doesn't explain how the old zanarkand came to be, the fayth just made it all up? i honestly think it had to exist somewhere down the line.

what i dont understand is why every final fantasy game leaves so many questions unanswered.

Eh, Old Zanarkand was simply just there...1,000 years ago. The Fayth were the survivors of the city itself...they were just normal people. But when the Machina War happened and Old Zanarkand was destroyed, Yevon wanted to preserve the city's memories and made the survivors as "Fayths"...they didn't make it all up...they were "dreaming" of the people who were in the Old Zanarkand...memories, you know?

hmmm... well that just about does it for me. memories makes the most sense out of anything i've heard so far. you just trashed my theory ^_^

You know what. I think there was only the Dream Zanarkand with Tidus. Think about it. Tidus is a dream, and so is his Zanarkand. The fayth dreamt up Zanarkand becuase they didn't want it to disappear totally. They had no need to dream up the rest of Spira. He didn't know what Spira was. He didn't know of Spira as a world, he knew only of Zanarkand.

I believe the fayth simply dreamt up Zanarkand, and because of this Zanarkand was the only place within that dream. Beyond the borders of Dream Zanarkand...I'm not really sure what there was. Emptiness? It's hard to say.

Edit: Haha. Someone said that already. xP
