One thing I don't get

Where the hell is the Tower of Zot actually located? Its just random location thats not on the world map.

Kain takes you there randomly. Maybe it's floating in the sky becuase there is no spot on the overworld map that would even signify a tower, except Bab-el

Its probably floating in the sky like PreZ said. Maybe like the Chocobo's Air Garden in FFIX, the way it moves round as to make it difficult to find
