Hello again! :highfive:

This topic is about the Sequel of FF8 I am making. It is in Italian Language but I am adding English Subtitles for you.

Work in Progress. I have already finished the "1st Season" and I'll publish here two long videos so you can see my work. Please... if you want leave comments (ideas, questions) and votes on youtube, I will be very happy.

I uploaded again the 2nd video because there were audio problems. Now it should be ok.
 
I checked out a couple of videos. You must have spent A LOT of effort doing them. That's really commendable :) I am interested in the fan story in this FFVIII-2. Unfortunately I am quite busy and can't find time to watch all of them. Is it possible if you give a synopsis of the plot for the whole of disc 1? Like the sequence of events and why they happen? Just asking though. Don't have to do it :neomon:

anyways, you really deserve more view count for the videos. Great effort!

Okay the two videos I have published here included all the story of DISC 1, so they included all other videos of my channel.

In few words :)
Squall and Rinoa can't stay together because she can't control well her sorceress powers she has received by Edea, Adel and Ultimecia. After she accidentally wounded a student of Garden, she goes away.

Rinoa will slowly discover that her powers are creating a kind of second (and evil) personality inside her that can trasform her in Ultimecia (this is inspired by the Rinoa/Ultimecia theory).

Squall will be contested by four girls: Rinoa, Quistis, Ellone and a new character. And there will be the moment in which he have to choose to continue his SeeD job or to keep his promise as a Sorceress Knight.

Whatever...
The story not only runs around Rinoa, but SeeDs (especially in the first parts) are involved in other missions and have to face new enemies...

I personally think that the Rinoa/Ultimecia theory is very interesting. I am curious how your story turns out :D

Yes, that theory is very interesting. But I know it is just a theory. I tried to let it become real in this fan-sequel. I hope that when you have time you can see a little of those videos so you can have an idea.
 
I really wish I could read Italian...I need to learn that language.

Its amazing from what I can see, and oh my gosh! It sounds so romantic between Squall and Rinoa! :33 Will this be able to be playable :P

Also, if I may ask, how did you do this? Did you use the real game as a shell? Or was this a disc hack? Or did you use some engine to do it?
 
Wow, this must of taken quite a bit of time, I'm impressed with what I see. What languages are you using to program this game?

I have added English Subtitles in the first video and they are Work In Progress in the second video... Can't you see them? Well, I think you can activate them in youtube, try with those links

there is a button (CC) to view subtitles (I am sorry if my english is not perfect) and if you have a Youtube account you can vote it or add comments there :)

for now it is a fanvideo, I don't know if it will be playable because of copyright... and for your last three questions, I can say it is a mix of the three things you've mentioned.
