Older games that you've only played recently.

Grandia: I started it up a few months ago. Though I unfortunantly haven't had much time to play it. So far I have enjoyed it though.

There are a few SNES games I want to pick up and play through.

The last couple of days I've been playing Super Street Fighter 2 for the SNES. One of my favorites. I've gotten so good at it that I can beat it on max difficulty(8 stars). Takes me back to those days of playing the 16-bit wonder in the arcades. Those were the days.

Currently i'm playing grandia and persona 3 fes. Having a little bit of a hard time with grandia, just cause I don't like how linear the world map exploration is. Other then that no complaints so far, though i'm just starting out. Beat persona 3 first playthrough now going through again trying to complete my fusion list, then gonna do the answer part of the game.

I've been playing Mario And Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
This one is very fun, didn't get very far the last time I played it (mainly because I let a friend borrow it and he moved). The battle theme is pretty catchy, and the fighting is still prett much the same, still fun

Chrono Trigger. I started playing it because I got told a few months ago that it was the best JRPG game ever. Amazed, I gave it a go and I loved every single bit about it. Some songs are a little annoying, like the Frog's theme and Marle's castle, but apart from that it's a pretty solid game. It's a little strange too that I felt sorry for a character that doesn't say a word. That's pretty epic that Square was able to pull those emotions back in the day.

I'm going to wait a while till I replay because I just found out that you can get several game endings.
:ness: So kinda want to head back in fresh so it has more excitement. :tehe:

Best JRPG in the world ? I don't know. But it's a good, good, good retro game. :dave:

I was in a local game store and they had a copy of legend of Zelda four swords for 15 bucks. I remember when it came out and I laughed because I didn't think anyone would be likely to make the hundreds of dollars in investment for the gear required to play that game multi-player with 4 gba systems. I did however happen upon a review of the games single player about a month or so back so I thought what the heck for 15 bucks I will bolster my Zelda collection while at the same time enjoy something new and interesting. Besides being a little bit weird at first the game boils down to a pretty fun Zelda experience.

This Generations that is flooded with shooters I do find myself playing alot games for past systems. However I am enjoying the DS alot this gen it has a huge library of RPGs new and old.

Final Fantasy VI. I've had this game for a while, probably about 5 years since my ex gave it to me, so it's about time.

I have also recently started Skies of Arcadia which, again, I've had for about 5 years.

Abe's Oddysee

It was back on the PS1 in the halcyon days of my youth, I kid of course, my entire life is great. I guess some people might think of it as a child's game, particularly from an outside perspective. Some people are morons though, so I am not too worried. The story is secondary to the gameplay, like in all of the classics. I think there has been two cutscenes so far (I'm about 4 hours in) and they have totalled less than ten minutes cumulatively.

It's a lot of fun and based around fairly simple game play, 2D platformers tend to shit on their 3D counterparts. In a lot of platform games these days, it's a case of "hmm there is a ledge leading to a balcony beside a ladder which leads to another ledge". Oddysee's a case of advancing from one screen to the next, so you know which direction you have to go. There are times I am on a screen for ten minutes, unable to work out how to advance. It actually puzzles you, you know like a puzzle game actually fucking should

It also has tonnes of secret areas, which is something I miss in games nowadays.

ahhhhhhhhhhh stackafulizacha

the games i will talk about are monkey island and monkey island 2 le chuck's revenge. or whatever the fuck its called.

firstly its the remastered ones on psn. theyre great. i thought they would be kiddy's games but they have succeeded in cracking me up several times. so either that means i have the mind of a child or theyre quite funny. but im always laughing. its the key to good health. its an adventure type puzzley kind of game. has to be said tho i probly wouldnt have bothered playing it if the graphics hadnt been redone. it looks infinitely better imo.
