Okay so I beat the Red Dragon

Demon Wall can hit pretty hard, so start off by casting Barrier. Keep Aeris on her Level 1 Limit Break so she can cast Healing Wind quickly after taking damage, to save your MP through use of Cure/Cure2. If you bought enough HP materia from Cosmo Canyon, your HP should be at a decent point by now (just beat him myself, with 2200HP). Also cast Haste. Join Haste with Added Effect materia on your WEAPON, so you can inflict slow on Demon Wall without casting it.

He's got pretty straight-forward attacks really. Keep your Barrier up, and you should do alright. If you're at a low level (below 30), you'll struggle. Level 35 should give you a comfortable win.

Also, equip the Dragon Armlet on someone other than Aeris.
 
Heal often, and make sure your characters don't stay down for long if they faint. Definitely use Bahamut, and your other summons except for Shiva, Ifrit and Ramuh (they don't do so much damage). If you have Deathblow on Cloud, that works well too. Every once in a while, he does a major attack called Demons Rush that takes a lot of HP from the whole party.

Just do that and you'll be fine. I never found any battle in FF7 really hard because my characters were tough as hell. (im not boasting, im just saying)
 
You want to know the best method? Unequip all materia except Bahamut, and Cure attatched to an all. Then you'll have a lot more health, and because the Demon Wall has a high magic resistance, physical attacks take off more damage anyway so you aren't losing out.
 
umm so why wood u unequip? jus dont use em.. unequippin em all wood be a hastle
 
If you unequip them all, your stats increase, because equipping materia comes at the price of lower physical stats. It's no hassle at all, you just have to press triangle a few times and you're far stronger.
 
yeah what ever either way i still woodent unequip and i was talkin bout equippin it all back on cuz alotr of ppl g4et in another battle be like SHIVA!!!........ wtf dint i re-equip that??
 
Trust me; it's the best method. I've tried countless different ones and this has been the one that I've always ended up using. And if you forget to equip your materia it's not the end of the world because most regular battles don't require you to use it anyway. To be honest if you're needing to use Shiva in a regular battle, then you're severely under-levelled -_-.

I also love how you can call other people n00bs when you yourself can't use a keyboard properly -_-.
 
Or you could get the nail bat from falling off the clock thing when two of the hands are about to pass each other. If you can still do that, do it. It would also further support Pooley's statements, which are thinking outside the box and is very hard for a n00b to do most of the time. ^_^

And yes, it would be good if Nanaki fixed his tying and spelling. But at least we could tell what he was saying.^_^
 
That's a key part of it. I always go out of my way to get the Nail Bat whenever I play which is why I ommitted that key bit of information :lol:. So yeah, get the Nail Bat for Cloud too (if you can).
