Square Enix updated the official Japanese Final Fantasy XIII website today. The Report tab has a rundown of the Final Fantast XIII Premiere Party a couple of weeks ago and the Spec tab now has a list of the major staff working on the title. Also added was a section under 04 of the Special section, which announces something rather interesting. A translation from andriasang.com sheds some light on the matter:
"Episode Zero: Promise is a web novelization consisting of a series of stories that lead up to the main FFXIII story, potentially adding further insight into the game. The stories are being penned by Jun Eishima, who's worked on a number of other Square Enix novelizations.
The first episode, titled "Encounter," will available online later this month."
It is unknown at this point whether or not Episode Zero: Promise will be translated into English.
