Didn't see a thread on this game, but if I missed it then feel free to close this one.

Anyway, who has played this game? What did you think of it? What parts did you like dislike? What are you doing on this game at the moment? What character did you choose, and which major attributes and birthsign?

I'm only a beginner on this game, I'm level four. I'm a female High Elf, I chose strangth and willpower as my major attributes so that I'm good at physical and magic attacks. I chose the Destruction, Alteration, Sneak, Marksman, Blade, Restoration and Light Armor skills.

My magic is really strong, but I struggle with close range combat as my health is really low. I'm members of all three Guilds: Thieves, Mages, and Fighters. At the moment, I'm trying to level up my Alchemy skill by training and practising.

You do know this is for the Xbox360 and the PC, right? Never seen it for PS2. I'm sure a mod'll move this though.

I have played it, and the world is just stunning. The opening sequence was epic, and reminded me of LotR. However, I have barely progressed at all. I tried to leave the starting town instantly, and there were so many bandits on the paths! I did end up in various places, and had some fun running from a kajiit, but the b******d stabbed me in the back when I thought I'd lost him on a tower!

And levelling up is harrd.

It's also on PS3 so it's not really out of place, though who knows where multi platform games should go.

I like Oblivion a lot it's a good game for it's graphics music and as always with TES games it's freedom of gameplay.

I love joining the Dark Brotherhood it's the best assassins guild I have ever seen in a game like this, in terms of the way you can get bonuses for doing certain actions.

I don't think it's as good as Morrowind though I don't play Oblivion much any more but I still play Morrowind and I have played Morrowind a lot more and I mean a LOT.

Just to let you know, there's a PS3 version too.... :P And leveling up in Oblivion isn't that hard... Well... Maybe so with the leveled lists of the unmodded game... I have the Game of the Year Edition for PC. Gotta say it's one of the most immersive CRPG worlds ever. I have the previous game, Morrowind, too, but the game required the reading of 9000 novels-worth of dialogue and like 50 hours worth of running if you planned on beating the storyline.

All you've got to do to level up in both Oblivion and Morrowind, though is to stick to what your character is good at, i.e., the skills you gave to your character at the start. You ONLY level up through skill progression. It's sort of a nod to FF2's leveling system, but with easier enemies. I believe I beat the main quest of Oblivion like 3 times, and beaten the Dark Brotherhood quests around 30 times. xD

I first got this game for the Xbox 360 and then i really wanted a laptop and the Xbox wasnt as good as i thought so i sold the xbox with the game.

But now i got a PS3 version of it, just basically got outta the sewer at the start of the game and im venturing in the sideways cave. I owned some guards and took there silver sword and there mail and that is my current armour and weapon. Oh and i killed an adventurer for a steel shield (all at lvl 1)

I am a Nord and my main attributes are str and spd cause i enjoy being an assassin. Currently, when i was sleeping in the sideways cave i got approached by the Dark Brotherhood so now i gotta kill someone.

If you get the PC version you can cheat and add abunch of things to your character (friends got it) and i thought that was pretty cool but i like it on my PS3 just as good ^^

The graphic are phenominal, HUGE world to travel, lots of cool things to see and on top of that its great fun!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is probably the best RPG I've ever played. The amount of content the game has to offer is incredible...and that's before you download Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.

Darn, the font size didn't change. Oh, well...I'm too lazy to bother with it. Anywho, I've played this game.

I think Oblivion is pretty much awesome. Puts most other RPGs to shame.

Let's see. Well, I never liked how the guards were automatically alerted of your crimes regardless of whether someone was around to witness you commit one or not. Also, while I love the amount of content the game possesses, it is possible for games to be TOO large. I've never been able to invest all the time one needs to in order to complete everything that can possibly be completed. Even so, that's hardly worth complaining about...

I recently started up a new character, so I've been settling into a new file. I'll probably head over to the Shivering Isles. Sheogorath is awesome.

I chose the Breton race. The attributes I chose were endurance and willpower. My character's birthsign is Warrior. I created a custom class, choosing these seven skills to specialize in:

Conjurgation
Destruction
Armorer
Blade
Mercantile
Block
Alchemy

I have Oblivion and I have... 27 files now :monster:

I am a male redguard... probably the palest redguard in existance XD

I have the thief birthsign and have as my main skills:

blade
restoration
athletics
armorer
light armour
block
and another I can't think of right now :wacky:

I am currently focusing my stats into strength, endurance and speed.

I am exploring oblivion, closing oblivion gates and am a knight brother (A member of the blades) and my current mission is to get a daedric artifact for martin. But I am in an oblivion gate trying to rescue Farley or whatever his name is.

I got it for the Xbox360 and have done most things on it. My character was a Dark Elf Assasin with the birthsign the tower.

Mage Guild - Complete
Thiefs Guild - Complete
Dark Brotherhood - Complete
Fighter Guild - Complete
Main quest - Complete
All plug ins - Complete

I have now started the game again, as my original character had barely any health. Now I'm a dark elf, with the Lady birthsign, and major attributes strength and agility. I also changed my major skills: Destruction, Restoration, Armorer, Sneak, Marksman, Blade, and something else I can't remember!

I'm finding this character a lot better for a good balance between bow, sword and magic.

At the moment, I'm completing Thieves Guild quests and independent thievery

It's quite good, but it gets tedious after a while. Scenery is quite similar, enemies are similar, enemies level up with you, limited selection of weapons, elemental/destruction spells are too weak. I still like it, but nowhere near as much as FF games.

That said, highest level I've ever achieved on it is 31, with a Warmage.
I have the expansion too, which I think is more fun than the original game.

All for PS3.
