I want to use a 4-line signature, but whenever I try to submit it I keep getting this error message:
  1. Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 5 line(s).
Needless to say, I'm a little confused!

My signature, as it is, is fine. The default alignment is to the left side of the screen under my postings.

If I try to change the alignment so that my signature is displayed in the centre of the screen under my postings, I get the error message.

[EDIT] *sigh*

I just figured out how to fix it, so this thread may as well be deleted, I suppose.

I selected a block of the text from the middle of the 1st line in my sig to the middle of the 4th line. This worked around whatever the problem is that was causing the error and still made the 1st & 4th lines come under the same alignment as the rest of the text.

New question:

I uploaded a picture to the little "Signature Picture" thingy underneath the text input section of "Edit Signature" but it doesn't show up anywhere.

Can anyone offer help or advice at all...?

Instead of doing that, upload the photo onto photobucket or something of that sort, then get it's URL and put it in the Signature text box with

Hmm, we have animated ones, I know that for sure. I guess you will have to wait for one of the more experienced staff to get to you.

Wrapping that link directly with
should work for an animated Gif.

I'll try it here.

EDIT: Odd...

See I'm not really sure because we have people on this site who have a freak'n half page of sig space and they are allowed. Ugh. I don't know how they got by with it and a 4 line sig wouldn't. I'm not judging anyone personally, I'm just saying: Keep the sig short and sweet; it's more attractive than a life-size mural.

You have to check the box that says "insert signature picture", and then the signature picture tags will show up in the 'text box', and should work like kid in a Nike factory.

Does it maybe not have anything to do with the fact that you're a Junior Member? Don't you have to be the next one up before you can have 10 lines like everyone else?

Ah, I see the part I think you're referring to:
Character Limit
- Junior Members, Members - 200 chars, 5 lines [2 blank]

The problem was that the original signature I was using was only FOUR lines long, with no blank lines inbetween them!
