Because it's meant to be left up to the player on who Cloud loves, Aerith or Tifa. Him kissing one of them would kind of ruin that wouldn't it?
Because Tifa loves Cloud romantically and he only loves her as a friend, therefore, it would be awkward for them to kiss.

If you're speaking soley of your own opinion then, no, you're right. 'Cuz, i dun't care, that's what you want. But like AG said, it's left for the player to decide. the LT will never be solved in the game/movie/books.

Well, I'm a bit late to say it, but, it is all up to the player, so there can't really be a kiss in the game, but Aerith is dead now, so for future pieces of the compilation of FFVII, Cloud doesn't have much of an option, huh?
Not necessarily Zaiku. I mean there are about a billion other women in the FFVII world

As for why they never kissed, kissing only makes games a bit cheesy... Quite honestly, I don't want to see a a long make out scene between two characters and I'd rather see a more subtle romance.
As for Cloud and Tifa...
They actually did not know each other for that long. When they were kids, the two were not actually child hood friends and did not really know each other. The first time Tifa ever really spoke to Cloud was probably at the well.
When Cloud arrived in Midgar it was only a few days before FFVII actually began. So Cloud and Tifa were really just getting to know each other in the game and Cloud much more was getting to know him self.

Oh yeah, I wasn't really thinking about new characters, and the only other person would be Yuffie, but I can't see that happening either.
Heh, I overlooked that as well, it's just that most FF games that come to mind, the main character always is in love with somebody,
VIII- Squall and Rinoa IX-Zidane and Garnet (I think that's her name)

I mean, then again, traditions don't need to be eternal, so Cloud could be solo. And no games after DoC, I am thinking there might be one or two more, I mean, we can't forget Sephiroth's famous quote:
"I will never be a memory..."

Well, I base my opinion on Cloud's lack of compassion toward Tifa. Even when she sat by him while he was in a coma, or helped him get onto the Highwind in the crater, you never see him tell her thanks or anything.
He's too mentally unstable to have a lovelife.

*ahem* There's LOTS of compassion there. You just have to be smart enough to not automatically tune it out because it isn't what you want to see. (Which is sadly all to0 common these days)
Actually, how could he tell her thanks if he was oblivious to the fact that she was there? He couldn't.
And the scene following the his coma-state actually shows a lot of emotional shit b/w them.
1) he's her 'hero'. 2) he went to SOLDIER for her. 3) he mentioned her specifically in the list of things he lost when talking to sephiroth.I could go on, as could we all. But there's really no point. What DOES matter is that you're happy with your own opinon and try not to sway others.

3) Because Square Enix never bothered about it....

Hrmm...ya know, had there been a kiss in VII it would have just been two heads bopping together anyway, so I don't think it would have been very romantic.
I don't know why, but for some reason, the though of Cloud kissing anybody just does not sit well with me...
As for Cloud ever getting laid... well he was in the shinra army, I sure he had A LOT of girls come his way. And remember the Honeybee inn episode Cloud basically did sleep with a whore there XD.

i just feel that aerith waz meant to b with zack and that cloud waz meant to b with tifa and that after all she did for him in ff7 they could have thrown it in there lol. and if not in ff7 then in the end of advent children when she smiles at him so sweetly he should have gone up and kissed her even tho he had no reason too..

no attraction there. Besides, I can't see Cloud asking a girl out or anything. He'd totally be the kind that would freak out and go all quite and awkward around a girl. He seems the type.
