NFL Playoffs

Cardinals benefited big time from being in the worst division on the NFL. I mean when the second place team only wins 3 or 4 games, that's bad.

Should be an interesting match-up in 2 weeks. Steelers have a big advantage on the Defensive side of the ball, as well as experience of being in the Superbowl. This is where Kurt Warner has to step in and remain clam. Cardinals can't be discredited for their playing because they do have the 4th best offense in the league and their receivers are top notch vets.

If the Cards defense can play with their heads and not give up any big plays, they'll be fine; The Steelers will no doubt focus most of their attention on Fitzgerald Feb 1st, and that's how it should be; he's a beast. If the Steelers' RB's can get more than 2 yards a carry unlike last night, they may have some breathing room, but they really need to work on that. Their passing and D is fine, but Parker and Moore need to step it up if they don't want to be caught in a tight one-play-makes-or-breaks-us kinda game.

I actually think that'll be one of the best things in our game against the Cards. We should be able to run the ball since they're defense is not airtight. The Ravens were #2 in defense and only behind us by a very small margin. In theory, at least, we should be able to break the Cards defense repeatedly. And I have faith in our defense to stop Fitz, even if it won't be easy.

On a sidenote, I really hope Hines Ward's injury is nothing to be concerned about. They haven't updated the injury roster yet but I'm hoping he'll be in top shape by game day. He was walking on his own power but he wasn't strong enough to actually get back into the game. Also hope McGahee is alright. He's a Raven but damn he got hit hard and concussions are serious things. I honestly think Clark intended it to be a clean hit but he still laid him out.

It's the old cliche, but they say defence wins championships and that's why I'm tipping the Steelers for the Superbowl. Plus I tipped them earlier in the season and I'd look daft changing my mind now! I hope it's as exciting as last year's was if nothing else.

Haha thats funny because my hockey coach just said that to me "Defence wins championships, offense wins games".

I can see how Cardinals are the underdogs coming up because they have a rookie quarterback and they didn't do much to be recognized in the season games, but i think that if Fitzgerald plays as well as he did in the first half of the eagles game, and Edrin James can step up the running game for the Cardinals, they might have a chance.

Steelers on the other hand have been here before and have a similar team to when they last won the superbowl.. and a lot of them are veterans, which is why i think the steelers have the advantage.

Was that a typo? Cuz Kurt Warner's been in the Super Bowl twice (Unless it was Bulger as QB the 2nd time the Rams went), and Warner's like 37 years old; far from a Rookie QB.

I'll pull for the Cards in the Super Bowl mainly because I love underdogs, but Dominique R-Cromartie on 'Zona is one of my favorite players in the league. For a rookie, he's a beast and only having started the final few games of the season, I think he had close to 9 or 10 interceptions to come close to elading the league in it.

Really? because i thought i heard them say that we was a rookie... Guess you right haha. I must of heard wrong. I never usuallly follow the Cardinals so i don't know much about there players.

Of course everyone goes for the underdog team to win because its exciting to see a team win a game that its not likely for them to win. As long as the Cardinals don't do what they did in the 2nd half and blow a big lead, then they should be ok.

I'd bet dollar to dimes that you're thinking of Joe Flacco. He's a rookie QB for the Ravens that has been playing really well this year, both regular season and playoffs. I'm honestly not that scared of the Cards but they've been playing much better than they had in the regular season. I can't count them out... but I think we can own them. Expect a steaktacular bitches.

Ya i must have been. Idk why i thought it was the cardinals qb because he looks old too haha. But if you recall last year, New England and all its fans were high and mighty about the Pats having an easy win over the giants and you saw what happened there. So who knows.. should be an interesting game.

Last year's superbowl pissed me off. I'm not a Pats fan but what they had going was awesome. I couldn't help but be behind them. It's so rare to see a team get their shit together enough to not lose a game... and then they went and lost to Vaggie Manning and the Pussinberries.

So I'm guessing you weren't jumping around the room like a maniac when Manning made that pass to Tyree :monster: - not that I was of course!

I loved last year's game, but then I love seeing the underdog win these sorts of things.

Arizona will be underdogs, though probably not as much as New York were last year or New England were when they beat St Louis earlier this decade.

Last year's Superbowl sucked for me for a lot of reasons... but yea I was not happy about any of that crap. I was counting on Manning to choke and he just never did.

Tbh, i was expecting the Pats to blow them out of the water.. almost a perfect season would have been great to see. Anyways, i'm excited to watch this superbowl coming up and i can't wait to see the outcome. Though i was not expecting these 2 teams to be in it whatsoever.

Predictions on whose going to win??
I'm going with the Cardinals :)

I'm going into this week saying the Steelers should win, and the way they've played all year should back me up with that. But you can't just go off of that anymore. The Patriots should have won last year; but didn't. The only reason I rooted for the Patriots last year was because of Randy Moss who is an absolute beast and will be until the day he retires; no matter what age he is.

I'm rooting for the Cardinals mainly for the under-dog status, and I'm not a big Steelers fan at all. I love the players the Cardinals have from R-Cromartie, to Wilson, to Rolle on D, and then of course Boldin and Larry @ WR, and even the string of RB's from the rookie Hightower to the seasoned vet Edge.

It's just another one of those games that puts the unexpected team in the SB, against al odds at the beginning of the year (Cardinals 1 of 6 teams before last week to never make it to the Super Bowl), and give them the perfect opportunity to win it all and be a team of Destiny rather than a team of Dynasty.

Just got done watching the first half and man was the last few seconds exciting. I'll have you all know its because I put my Steelers sweatshirt back on. I'm roasting alive but it was well worth it for the return. Thank you Fitzgerald! BUSTA WAS RIGHT! YOU ARE A PLAYMAKER! WHOOOOOO!!! Fantastic run James Harrison! I love ya buddy!

Let's see a good second half!

Yay the Steelers are winning so far right? The steelers have some good players so hopefully They will beat the cardinals even badlier. Whats the score so far. Aztec keep up with the sweatshirt luck.

That was kinda upsetting. Cardinals could have at least tied it up if not take the lead, then still have control of the ball. That was a nice run for the steelers linebacker. I'll give him props for that. The Boss was good in the half time show as well. Looked like he ran outta breath a lot there lol.

So steelers win.. That sucks. Was hoping to see the Cardinals score with less then a minute left. Would have made it an epic superbowl.

Fantastic game, that interception return at the end of the first half was crazy and pretty much swung the game. And the winning touchdown was worthy of winning any Superbowl. All credit to Arizona for coming back and battling to the end but I feel that in the end Pittsburgh just about deserved the win.

It was a really tough win. It's how we've played all season though. We'll be almost down and out with only a few minutes left on the clock and both our Offense and Defense make it happen. I was absolutely livid when they took the lead 20-23 but we managed to come back with some great plays. They just didn't have enough time to match it.
