I doubt it will be coming out for the PS2, SE have seemed to step away from that and moved on to next gen consoles, so the PS2 will most likely never see an FF title on it again. It'll most likely only come out for the DS.

I think the PS2 is pretty much redundant now. Are any games being released for it any more? Where as the DS is selling pretty well and there's a bigger markey for portable gaming, and the games are easier to make as the graphics (on the whole) aren't amazing.
I still love some of the DS games though, don't get me wrong, it just can't compete with the xbox360/ps3 for graphics. obviously.
This has reminded me of that Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie DS remake game. DQVI, this game, Bowser's Inside Story, Professor Layton 2, Spirit Tracks and Golden Sun DS are the games I am most looking to on the DS. I wonder what happened to DQVI because I haven't heard anything about since for a long time now.
Oh well, this game will fully compensate for DQVI's mysterious disappearance. I still have to find time to finish other FFs including V, IX, XII (replay) and Revenant Wings.

Do not call me stupid or anything nut what does Gaiden mean XD. Also I read that this game will have robots or maybe I am mistaken for something else. Anyways someone answer my stupid question plz? I cba checking XD.
Gaiden pretty much means "side story" which is basically what the game is xD
As for robots, very little information has been given away so who knows.

Ah, I'm truly excited for this game. Judging by the screens, I'm going to love the graphic's style. Even though most say it's a step down from Final Fantasy III and IV DS, that's not necessarily a bad thing. These graphics just seem more... I dunno, rustic? I like that in a game. Also, the fact that they're trying to take a step back into traditional RPG games, instead of JRPG's is always going to be a plus in my book.

Wow, nice! It's nice to see S.E. going "back to basics", just like they did in IX. SE sure is working on lots of games.... the F.N.C. compilation, FFXIV, Blood of Bahamut, maybe others too, and now this!

Seeing those images, my enthusiasm for this game just dropped drastically. The graphics look very crude and primitive compared to Square's other DS games, and I'm not liking their choice of colours at all.

Hey give credit where it's due. Animal Crossing looks much better than that
Honestly I don't know what went wrong here. Most of Square's previous DS games looked very good the format taken into consideration, and the new Dragon Quest looks downright stunning for a DS game.- Status
