New FFXIII Scan from Weekly Shonen Jump

Monday's issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has leaked and a scan of its sparse page for Final Fantasy XIII has made it online. The game is less than a week away from its Japanese release and so not much more can - or needs to be said. The scan touches very briefly on the game's battle roles, but that's about it.

• Attacker: For Physical Attacks
• Blaster: For Magic Attacks
• Defender: Strengthens Your Defense
• Healer: Good With Healing
• Jammer: Makes Enemies Weak
• Enhancer: Strengthen Allies

I didn't notice this before, but there's a nice symmetry between these roles. The Jump story places them in a circle, going clockwise as Attacker, Defender, Healer, Blaster, Enhancer, and Jammer. Attacker and Blaster appear to have complementary roles, as one is for magic and the other for physical attacks. Defender protects you from attack while Jammer makes it easier to stop those attacks. Healer recovers your HP while Enhancer strengthens your characters in other areas.

Some of the rolls sound a bit weird, Jammer, Enhancer and Blaster all sound very westernised I'm curious to see the very bottom screenshot in large to compare it to the one that was originally shown at the very beginning of FFXIII's development to see the improvements. Anyways, cheers for the info
