New Dissidia Trailer!!!!

The game looks pretty cool and all but I wish I knew what it is about. Is it just the FF villains coming back and the main heros need to fight them off?

I agree with Mandi. Honestly, I'm sick of seeing Sephiroth's fire entrance. It got really old like 5 years ago.

What I'm disappointed with Dissidia is that they only include certain characters. Now I'm not sure if they're done with the game or not but I hope they're going to add more characters. What saddens me is they did not include Kefka or a main FFVI character. Nor Cecil or any FFV characters. I would really like to see Kefka in Dissidia.

Edit: Well, according to the Amano drawing of Dissidia villains it seems like Cloud of Darkness, Golbez, ExDeath, and Kefka might be in the game. I hope it's true!

Also I wonder why SE chosen Jecht over Seymour?
 
The may have chosen Jecht over Seymour because of the amount of Magic-oriented villains in the game.

Emperor Palamecia (spelling?)
Kuja
Kefka?
Ultimecia
Cloud of Darkness? (At least in the game she wasn't very physical-damage oriented. By god, if they include her Particle Beam attack then we're all screwed.)

I think Jecht was also a better choice. He's more of the antagonist considering
he's Sin
, and Seymour was sent before the end of the game.

I just saw the trailer and I'm quite amazed by it. Does anyone know the release date...? Haven't really done any research about this game yet. I thought it was pretty cool seeing Squall V.S Sephiroth. Impressive, I must say, since I'm also a fan of Squall. xD But yeah, I'm just hoping the storyline and plot are as good as the graphics...

They're less well known because less people have played the older games and, for people like me, I already feel much less attached to the game. If they must include the older characters then, for people like me, I'd say it'd be a better move to also include more of the more popular characters.

Nah, then you'd be complaining that it was just like AC...! :wacky: I don't think it's such a big deal. It looks cool & it's, like, his signature. You might as well complain about him using the Masamune all the time ("Hey! It didn't work so well for you fighting Cloud! Or Sora for that matter...!" :lol:) ...but, anyways, it wasn't like they put an image of Nibelheim behind him, it was a rising current of lava...I think that makes it a one-up!

That guy with the horned helm was indeed the Warrior of Light. Firion's the one w/the bandana on his head.

I think it'll be Terra/Tina from FFVI, not Locke, not just because of the similarities looks-wise with him & Firion...or even the fact that they need to seriously balance out the male/female ratio (what? one girl so far and it's a villain? SEXIST!!)...but because of how GODDAMN AWESOME it would be to see her Morphed form in full-on 3D!! I think that'd more than make good competition with the others as well...

...I'm not complaining about him using the Masamune all the time. I just said the whole "coming out of the fire" thing was getting old and that he needed a new entrance. Besides, that entrance was from the original game, not AC. It was just redone in AC. Of course they wouldn't put up the image of Nibelheim behind him because the game doesn't even take place in Nibelheim. I was just thinking, new original game needs new original Sephiroth entrance. That is all.
 
i can't understand what the people are saying in the trailer, and that kinda ruins it for me. i mean, it looks like an amazing game, plus it isn't turn based for once YAY however not understanding the people kinda makes me sad that i can't even guess the storyline besides sephy and the other villians teaming up to destroy the world. it also makes me sad because i don't know who half the people in the game are and i don't know japanese so they won't tell me the names :( can someone get a translated trailer? that would be really nice. or someone could translate it and post a new translated video on here.

Also, Jecht was stated to be chosen over Seymore in an interview that I'm too lazy to find. Jecht was chosen due to rivalry. If it was Seymore, Yuna would be in instead of Tidus, and that'd be a few too many mages.

Looks great. Shame its on PSP though since I just have the DS. I would've liked it to be on that... but I still may go as far to purchase a PSP if the gameplay length is worth the price (though I've read about the dialogue length), and so it has true replay value.

Squall really looks impressive in combat. Plus I'm also eager to see more movies.
 
Hmm. Does anyone know if a new trailer has been out since Kefka was confirmed as a character?

Well this game looks awesome. I loved seeing Tidus as one of the characters, which is weird because I don't like him all that much. He looks like he's going to be kick-ass in this game though. As for the other characters, I have no complaints. I can't wait until the next trailer.

There is still one question left unanswered though, and that is where is Cloud?! :gasp: You can't have Sephiroth and not have him..
