Need help with chocographs

I'm playing FFIX again and on the first disc, i didn't get 4 chocographs in the chocobo forest. So i was wondering if I could get those in Disc 3 again, cause I've been doing the hot&cold game for a long time and still can't find chocographs in the forest. Thank you

i think it doesnt matter what disk you get them in just what forest your digging in

You can get acquire the Chocographs in any disk, and I recommend the third as you can complete the entire sidequest (save Ozma if you're not prepared) once you have access to the Hilda Garde III. The forest contains more than four Chocographs, but once you've obtained enough, the Lagoon will be open, then the Sky Forest.

i didnt start H&C till disc 4 for some reason, but i didnt have that problem

It's absolute chance that you get to find a Chocograph, but I'm surprised you haven't found any yet. Usually you at least get the first Seaside Chocograph early on after activating the mini-game, which only the following 'graphs are more challenging.

Be persistent, and remember you're still getting a few decent items from doing it anyway. You can get the Chocographs in any disk, though you might as well attempt the first few before heading on.
