Well, I made an NFL one, so here goes...

What's your favorite NBA basketball team?

I'm from California, but I like the Mavericks, and I'm not just saying that because I hopped on the bandwagon last year, well kind of. But they're struggling right now and I'm still for 'em so that kinda makes me a 'real' fan.

My second pick would be the Bulls, just 'cause of the legacy.:D

Speaking of the Bulls, Michael Jordan has got to be my favorite player of all-time. Just watching him play as I grew up in my super-crazed NBA days were amazing and I'm glad I got to see him in his finest years.

As for teams, I'm a New York Knicks fan but they unfortunately suck and lost the #3 pick in the upcoming draft to the Bulls. That = Gayness.

In the play-offs I'm pulling for anyone except the Spurs. I love Amare Stoudemire and teh Suns as well, so I'd like to see them win it all, but as long as it's not the Spurs or Mavericks, I'm happy.

Also...go T-Mac! Rockits maybe? Sure, why not.

Yeah. Not the Spurs.
They've already got the rings.

But if the Mavs don't work it out, I'll root for the Bulls.
Go Bulls.

you know, i completely forgot chicago bulls even still existed ever since Michael jordan was gone, but they were my favourite NBS team back in the day... over here in aus, it was everyones favourite NBA team because of jordan...

You've gotta be kidding me.
Did you hear about what the Spurs did to the Suns the other day.

Talk about unfairness.
I don't think the Suns deserve that.

If you missed, my take on this is.....well, let's just say that if I wasn't a Suns fan before, I definitely am now. :stare:

Jazz won huh?

I was kinda rooting for the Warriors too......until I saw the story from FoxSports.com, since they are from California. :D

No, I don't have cable. No, I don't have Espn, TNT, whatever.

*bump*

It's already halfway through the freaking 2007-2008 season, but what the heck.

NBA, which teams do you like and you think would make a stretch run before and after the All-Star break?

I'm going for the Lakers making a huge run before and after simply because they made a steal in acquiring Pau Gasol from the Grizzlies for minimal personnel losses. They're also set to get Bynum back in a month or so.

Note: This thread also for any news found or heard about, any rumours, trades, or anything hereof related to the game of basketball.

I dont follow Basketball much anymore but i think i heard that Miami is pretty much last atm which saddened me. I am a fan of the Heat. My favourite player is Dwayne Wade and Shaq :P too bad i hear Shaq's injured =\

ROCKETS!!!!
T-Mac, Yao Ming and that Mtumbo guy
go rockets

Well Mr. Big Heat Fan, Shaq's not even in Miami anymore. :P

I'm a Sixers fan. The team's been up and down all season, but they've been performing well as of late. I thought they'd go down the drain after losing C-Web and Iverson awhile back, but they actually got better after losing those personalities.

They beat the Mavericks a few days ago...which was a pleasant surprise.

Told ya i dont follow basketball very much but when i do watch games, Its theres. I havent watched a basketball game in a few months now so tbqh i had no idea :wacky:

lol, but it was such a big story too. The Suns traded Shawne Marion and some other guy to the Heat for Shaq. I doubt that's a good deal. :P

probably not, but with stoudamire and shaq, suns will be good

Shaq's over the hill. He's just gonna slow down the Sun's game.

Maybe he'll surprise us, but I'm not expecting the Suns to dominate with Shaq down low.

@ TheYoungKnives: Naw, you can't be serious. Shaq's old and he's at the end of his tether. Like VoN said he'll more than likely slow down the Suns and their quick offensive schemes.

Suns aren't looking so hot with ol' Shaq down low, I say.

But hey! The Sixers have defeated the Pistons and Spurs over the last few weeks. They're looking good for the playoffs if they keep it up...

...though the Celtics and Rockets (not sure how they keep winning) look invincible.

The Rockets are doing pretty well. 22 straight wins. ^_^
I normally don't like Houston, but damn, they're on a hot streak right now. I'll support them through along with the Mavs and the Lakers. For the East, it's a pretty safe bet to go with the Celtics, Pistons, and Cavs.

The Cavs don't impress me much, though they look far better after acquiring Ben Wallace.

The teams in the West are amazing. Very tight race over there.
