I will share a funny image that I posted in a different club, but will post for you here as all. Possible pairing connotation (C/T), but that really depends upon context. As such, here, it has very little pairing context. I think of it more as Cloud trying to pull a little birthday surprise like friends have a nasty tendency to do.......

You have been warned.

What if, and I know this sounds crazy, but what if Cloud tried to bake Tifa a cake for her birthday or something? Just one spring morning he got up and decided to do good by Tifa's wonderful cooking and return the favor on her birthday. Can you imagine it? There'd be flour everywhere. It'd be like a white chocobo decided to sneak in the back and was rummaging around in the kitchen. Best part, if Tifa didn't know it was Cloud, and thought someone had broken in...

*Tifa sees and hears loud banging and flour flying everywhere and someone cursing from the kitchen*

*Tifa sneaks up to the kitchen door.... then bursts in and punches a frazzled, flour-coated Cloud out!*

Tifa: CLOUD!? Ohmygod, I'm so sorry! Can you hear me, are you alright? Cloud?

Cloud: :tard:

Cake (in oven): fmph *bursts into flame*

For some reason, this always makes me laugh. xD

that story's adorable and stuff, but just to keep this club LTDless and more fair to all sides, pweeze no more pairing posts unless it's links to fanfics, fanarts, and stuff. ^_^

Posting a pairing oriented thing is okay but only as long as it's for fanarts/fanfics/fan videos but they have to have a clear warning it's for whatever pairing, too. I know you included a warning for a pairing, and thanks for that, but I didn't know what pairing. And there are different kinds of Cloud fans in here and we pair Cloud differently.

So this is to everyone: Please no more pairing posts in discussion. ^_^

That doesn't mean we can't post links to Clerith/Cloti pictures or fanfictions, those aren't really discussion and people in the club don't have to read/see them. That goes to both sides of the LT.

If no one will start an LTD about it I'm just fine with it. I just wanted to make this a club for Cloud and not have it turn into crap all about his "love interests".

I think that as long as it's Cloud taking front and center of the pairing-ish things, then it's okay. If it's HIM doing something stupid or saying something silly or performing some ridiculous action (weeding Aerith's garden while she sunbathes.... killing bugs for Tifa.... making ammo with Barret.... :wacky:

) then it's okay. We're not 'squeeing' over the relationship, we're just 'squeeing' over whatever it is that Cloud is doing/has done/may do. The focus is on him not them.

It'd be really hard to discuss and appreciate Cloud without also bringing in the rest of the cast, since Cloud is one of those characters that is really defined by his friends. It'd be really hard, really fast, if we had to avoid a great deal of his interaction with the other main characters. As long as we're appreciating what's going on in his friendships (nothing more) I don't think we really have to worry.

Not all interaction with Tifa/Aerith/Yuffie/Barret has to be interpreted as romantic. Trying to bake a surprise birthday cake for Tifa (a joke in itself)..... weeding Aerith's garden while she sips lemonade (he owes her for ruining her first one with his MOTORCYCLE).... haggling over materia for Yuffie (she's underage to purchase materia, I'll bet).... these aren't necessarily romantic, but just something a good friend would do.

I ask my friend Jon to kill spiders for me all the time and he always does it. He's one of my best friends, but I wouldn't consider him a boyfriend. (LAWL how's that for a lame RL example?)

Smexy ga-ga eyes, half-nude snuggles, and holding hands ARE crossing the line, though.

And...... we all can agree that Cloud and Zack are simply two spiky-haired dudes in a totally platonic relationship, right? (The answer is YES, because we do not bring pairings into this thread, nudge hint.)

I am also fine with the things DM provided. I can tolerate even Clerith if it's not the mushy stuff, and aside from that, there's nothing wrong with 'talking' about pairings, as long as it's not discussing. I'm not going to stand for someone rubbing their Clerith beliefs in my face, definitely not if they're trying to 'prove a point'. :wacky:

As far as the 'funny pictures/fics' go, yeah, have no problem. If you don't really care to read it, don't read it, :lew:

Just read the post, not the actual 'fic'.

It IS about Cloud after all. :griin:

Well, I disagree. I love Cloud for himself and I don't think his friends define who he is... Cloud defines who he is. Sure his friends are important, but we can participate in a Cloud club and have it solely discuss Cloud and not his lover interests. Cloud isn't just there to be shipped away with people.

I think we all can do a pretty fine job discussing Cloud as a character without involving Tifa/Aerith. ^_^

Don't have to argue with me there. I just want to be able to discuss this so no one in the future feels like this club leans more towards one side rather than neutral.

But what do you consider mushy stuff? Does that mean if me and marlena spoke of how emotional Cloud was during Aerith's death... is that something mushy in your opinion? Is that rubbing it in your face or trying to prove our point?

You know.... I'm having a pretty hard time trying to think how we all can define what's mushy or what will be not Cloud "front and center" in all of our interpretations. To make this more simple and more open to all fans I'm gonna say this:

This isn't a chat thread to a singled out person that falls in one of our groups. It's a fan club with all different kinds of fans in it--this includes Clotis/Cleriths/etc

if every member in the thread can't read or be apart of the discussion it loses it's "club" vibe and becomes more like single people speaking to only a few people instead of everyone discussing how great Cloud is together.

In other words, if everyone can't discuss the posts, then leave it out.

Yeah, I'm forcing us all to be friends. :griin:

Exactly my point! Er, sorta. Barret and Yuffie are expected to be in the mix just as much as Tifa and Aerith and, um, Cid.... That's exactly what I mean -- my joke just happened to be involving Tifa because, of all people in the group, I think Tifa could deliver the most devastating punch.

I disagree with you by about half -- I think Cloud really has an important connection with all his friends. I mean, the game's entire theme was about friendship, right? :wacky:

It was largely by friendship that Cloud pulled through an ultimate mindfuck, saved the world, and killed the white-haired pretty boy. He survived things that'd been screwing people over for decades because he had the Power of Friendship.

So I wouldn't dismiss the others too quickly.... They certainly played a large role in Cloud's development.

I would hazard to say that, since we've made it so clear that LTD is not to be considered here, that anything that may be said that could unintentionally be seen as a shipping, disregard that pairing connotation. Because anything said in here will be according to club rules, so we can all instantly ignore any shipping connotations.

Like I said, if everyone can't participate in discussion because a post ends up being heavily leaning towards a specific pairing the poster posting such material can either be...

a.) ignored by other members(which breaks up the friendly atmosphere in here)

or

b.) the members that don't ship the same can have no place in the club

If I allow pairing-biased posts in this club, people will feel uncomfortable or feel as though they can't post because they don't feel the same. Or, think of this...

...you write another joke like that and it happens to be about Cloud stealing Tifa's underwear not very pairing biased but it has a theme to it--we laugh we have fun. Then, someone comes in and does something like it but for Cloud and Aerith... and this time it's Cloud blushing/liking Aerith kissing him on the cheek. Both scenes can/and usually are done for shipping, and in a club with all sorts of fans it's not a good idea.

Those type of situations not only make it awkward between both sides of the LTD, but makes it as though people are just doing so to try and make the other fans awkward or feel uncomfortable... and that is so not what I want in my favorite character of all time's fan club.

I want everyone to be apart of the discussion. I wouldn't even discuss something leaning towards a Clourith-type thing, cuz it'd leave out you, spawn, and Kira. And since you all are members here I'd never want you all to feel as though you can't join in discussion because of something shippy is said and you don't particularly enjoy said pairing.

I've said my piece, I've taken consideration of your opinions in the process. But I have reason to believe that this club would remain friendlier and more open if we rather not posted a pairing biased post in discussion. I know people have said they'd be okay as long as it didn't go too far, but what one fan considers too far isn't always how the other member feels. And since I want this club to allow all members to be able to be apart of the discussion I'm going to firmly ask everyone to not post discussions that can be interpreted as biased towards a certain pairing.

This goes for posts that speak about Cloud doing something that can be seen as fluffy specifically to either girl and not the other.

Example:
-Cloud baking Tifa a cake
-Cloud giving a Flower bouquet to Aerith
-Cloud stealing Tifa's underwear type situations.
-Cloud blushing when Aerith kisses him on the cheek type situations.

I'm sure all of us are capable of seeing whether or not something between Cloud and either girl is shippy. Put yourself in other people's shoes. Think... would a Clourith/Cloti feel uncomfortable about that? If the answer is yes, then jus' don't post it. If the honest answer is no, then post. But be warned, if someone feels as though a member posted something intending for it to be shippy, I can't stop how they'll fire back before they do.

So let's all genuinely try and keep posts un-shippy.

I did not know that! Lotsa Harleys in my state. (Wisconsin) And actually his motorcycle is built a lil bit like a Harley. (Cross between a Harley and a Crotch Rocket.) Lol I'm into motorcycles ;))

I know nothing of motorcycles but i'll take your word for it.

I think I like Cloud's older motorcycle more than his Fenrir. :hmmm:

I mean, both are sexy and cool, but the Hardy Daytona has a cool name and just looks so realistic that I can't help but associate him to a real life bad boy :8F:

Here's info on his motorcycle fenrir:

Top speed of 400 kmph (approximately 250 mph).
Has an oval-piston twin cylinder engine and has two front wheels.
Fenrir seems to have a hip-based turning system, as even though it has handle bars, Cloud is capable of maneuvering the bike even while wielding two swords at once.
It also appears to utilize a non-returning throttle, a dual throttle system or (the most likely solution) both, as Fenrir seems capable of both maintaining its speed and accelerating when Cloud's right hand is busy wielding his sword. It is also possible the throttle is controlled by foot.
Possesses internal storage compartments on either side of the front axle where Cloud stores the individual blades of the Fusion Swords.

and here's the Hardy Daytona:

Width - 785 millimeters Height
- 1,175 millimeters Cubic Displacement
- 1,160 cubic centimeters Engine
- VE4-Ge type (Oil-Cooling V type 4 Cylinder DOHC)
