I was going through the Cloud tag on tumblr and I noticed all the Clack fanart... is it just me or does anyone else think the romantic Clack couple ruins their friendship? It's like no one can just be friends anymore without people sexualizing two people. Cloud and Zack are a great brotherly relationship and people turn them into nothing but clack porn. it's one thing to ship, but there is a point when shipping ruins two people's platonic relationship. it's like the dean/sam ship people obsess over in the supernatural fandom.

Omg I so agree I can't stand it when people turn Zack and Cloud into a relationship

I mean I totally get that you can have your crazy fan pairings, like Yuffie X Cloud, Barret X Cloud, etc, but it's obviously not a serious pairing. Plus, they had such a close friendship in CC to see all those pics/drawings of them as more than that sort of ruins their friendship, imo :/

Of course, if you like them together that's okay...sorta I guess But like you said if you wanna look through Cloud images I'm surprised at the number of Clack/Zloud wacky images. It's like, put that somewhere else ! I know It's so annoying that people do that. it's wrong to the characters and its wrong to fetish-ize it. they think just because they put cloud with zack that somehow makes them supportive of the gay community. people should ship characters off of their chemistry not off of how hot it is. <_< my main problem with Zack/Cloud is that both men are canonly STRAIGHT and people just ignore that and actually believe it.

it's like... THEY'RE BROS! LET THEM BE BROS! LET THEM HAVE THEIR BROMANTIC MOMENT BUT LEAVE IT AT THAT!

I don't know how things are done here, but over on Beast's Lair, there are people who keep fan clubs relevant by just posting art of the characters in question on a regular basis. It's cheap, but it keeps them alive.
