Multi-Tasking

I whole-heartedly believe that males cannot multi-task. I don't count listening to music as a task really, because it's barely a taxing thing to do. I can't even use an ATM while I'm on the phone because I'll end up shouting my PIN number down the phone. >>

hahaha you're such a div :wacky:

I can write and talk/sing at the same time, altho occassionally I have looked at my paper and realsied Iv written what Iv been saying...I did that so much at school

Im often talking to my mum on the phone and getting yelled at because she can hear me typing hahaha, although Im not the best multi tasker, I make a shite woman haha. Im pretty sure I should have been a man and something went wrong -__-

I multi-task pretty well. Even math while watching TV. I can pretty much do three things at the same time but never more (who does four?!), and I've done it so much that it really doesn't bother or affect me in any way.

I'm not bad at multitasking, I could probably do more if I wasn't so lazy. Often I'll be on the internet forums posting, while chatting on MSN, while writing music, while making sure my kid gets to sleep. Not much really :wacky:

Looks like I'm alone in saying that I can't multi-task.
(well I can, but then I'm bound to mess up both projects I'm trying to do at the same time. :worried:)

I need to focus on just one so that I can pour all my energy and abillity on it.

...Otherwise, it just becomes crappy. :monsmash:

Well multi-tasking actually keeps my focus on some projects sure it takes longer but that alright for me

Pretty much crap. I can only concentrate on 1-2 things at once. Multi-tasking is something I can't do. If I'm doing one thing, I forget about the other things I have to do. :ffs:

Quality over quantity, though. :P

Well I'd say I'm average at multi-tasking. I can chat on msn, watch a film, do my homework and talk to my brother at the one time. Or at school I can do my work and talk/listen at the same time. It's great sometimes, but there are some cases where I prefer to give my undivided attention to something if I want it done well. Whilst I'm cooking the limit of my multi-tasking is usually just talking to somebody or reading. Oh and I often sing along to a cd if I'm playing the ps2/xbox, but it usually ends up in me crashing into walls if I'm playing a racing game. :wacky:

I tend to loss focus and slow down when I multi task so I don't tend to do it often. But when I do I can easily do several things at once before I panic or get stressed out.

They say that multi-tasking is very inefficient. You'll do more if you do things one at a time.

That is also true, but it really depends on the individual. The most I can really do is probably only two things at once and still be efficient anyway. When I do more than two things at once, I start to lose it. So yes, the less things you do at once, the better off you'll be, but some people really do have a knack for multi-tasking and being efficient at the same time.

I think it depends what you're doing. Like, if you're working on a project or essay then it should really get your undivided attention if you want it done well. But I find being able to read, write and listen at the one time very efficient when I'm writing notes in school, as I can listen to the teacher whilst reading about the topic in the textbook and writing notes on it. In the end I generally have better, more detailed notes than if I listened and THEN read and THEN wrote notes. I don't know if that counts as multi-tasking... it should. >>

I love multi-tasking!

Just before, i was posting, playing xii, playing tactics, eating, talking on msn and listening to music O_O.

I don't know why i just love multi-tasking because i can just sit there and do 1 thing. like if i'm cooking some thing i have to go like download so some thing so my time isn't wasted completely.

Actually, I recently found out that I cannot multi-task when I am working on signatures. =/ I find that I have to close FFF and MSN because any distractions would make me lose concentration on my project, therefore my appreciation for my work will drop...and before I know it, I'll have to restart the whole thing over again. >.>
