Movies that Move You

Saving Private Ryan- Perfect ending.

Forrest Gump- Very moving.
.

Oh yeah... that feather at the end of forrest gump set me off crying big time for some reason >_<

And the whole of Saving private Ryan pretty much has me in bits, but when he's at te end asking if he lived a good life (or something along those lines) bah, it's just so sad

Terminator 1 & 2 both get me aswel (as stupid as that sounds)

But when Kyle dies in the first one im like nooooo

and the end of T2 when Arnie is like I knpw now why you cry then he's going down into that lava shit ;_;

50FirstDates made me cry for 40 minutes the first time I saw it!
The idea of losing the memories of someone you fall in love with just makes me feel really upset. Memories are so important to me!

Ah! My Goddess also made me cry for the same reason.

The Lion King, but only Mufasa's death.

And The Fox and the Hound makes me cry; the part when
the old lady (yes I don't know her name...) has to take Todd to the forest. I can identify with having to give up a loved animal. The fact Todd doesn't understand makes it even more upsetting!

Eeeep, I didn't expect this movie to be sad when I bought it, having Adam Sandler and all, but oh god it was! >< The idea of living the same day over and over and over again, or waking up one day to be told that you've been living like that for the past year. And the film was so sweet aswell, I loved that it was set in Hawaii.

Umm.. although I don't like to admit it, Titanic was very moving. I never cried at it but there were some really little insignificant scenes in it that gave it such a huge effect, like the Irish mother in third class putting her children to bed, and the old couple lying on their bed together as the waves come crashing through the glass. To be fair, I wanted to cry but wouldn't let myself. >__>

The Notebook, end of it mainly.. I was in tears. D:

A Very Long Engagement.. Mathilde's determination that her fiance was still alive... and then the end made me cry aswell >.<

The Lion King. Just Mufasa's death, really. And when Simba cries 'Can somebody help me!? ANYBODY?!' =/

Where the Red Fern Grows- This movie made me cry for 2 weeks after I saw it. It was sooo sad! That poor boy loves his dogs so much, and then when Old Dan dies and you think hes still got Little Ann, you feel better. But then she goes and dies because she can not go on without Old Dan. That was the saddest movie ever!

Where the Red Fern Grows 2- The second one was just about as sad as the first one. Billy is all grown up in this one, but he's lost his leg and can hardly get around. Then he gets the two new puppies, and names them Little Anne and Old Dan again, and you think everything is gonna be all right. But no! Old Dan has to fall out of a tree and die. Little Anne lives, but he gives her away. How crappy is that?

A Walk to Remember- This movie was so touching. When Jamie tells Landon that she has Cancer, and he doesn't want to believe it, I burst into tears. The ending, where Jamie walks to Landon down the aisle and has to have support, makes me cry even more. It was much sadder than the Notebook.

Titanic- Everybody's pretty much already summed this one up, but it gets me when Jesse is in the water trying to tell Rose that they're gonna make it through it, and you can tell he's freezing and going to die.

I guess that's enough for now, but I have plenty more..

A Walk to Remember made me cry, as well... not as much, I'm sure...
... but I had a few tears running down my cheeks.

Well while finding good movies may be a rarity, there are a few I consider worthy to be mentioned, and that somehow did moved my feelings a bit:

-Braveheart:
When William Wallace was being tortured and his comrades watched helplessly as they found themselves so unable to do anything to save him. And just when one thinks he will give up, he comes and yells "FREEDOM!!!!".

-Titanic:
When the musicians play that sad song and the camera shifts between sad scenes, the old man and his wife, the mother and her children...the song adds something to the movie and the situation

-LOTR-Fellowship of the Ring
When Boromir gives up his life in an attempt to distract the Uruks and allow Merry and Pipin to escape. Sadly, his efforts are futile and we see him fighting an already lost battle, enduring arrows piercing him, he just does not gives up. Best scene of the "Fellowship of the Ring" movie...

No one else I know agrees with me! Everyone else thinks it's not sad at all. Yay! Someone else understands my reasoning. :)

That was a sad film, but I felt it was overdone. My friend Lucy cried for about half an hour though.

Dumbo

The part where his mom is locked up in the cage and you can see her trunk come out to soothe Dumbo, the music just makes me cry

I remember being saddened by some movie called Benji when I was really young.

I think it had something to do with stray puppies. Yeah! There was a stray puppy that got punted like a football by some evil guy.

Now that I look back on it, I don't know why it upset me. The dog wasn't injured or anything. At the end of the movie, it even got a home. Oh, well.

A Walk To Remember.

This movie always brings me to tears.

The whole thing with Jamie (the girl) having cancer and dying is sad enough. Her boyfriend makes the movie all that much sadder by standing by her the whole time making all her wishes on her list of 'Things to do' come true before she dies, including marrying her in the church her mother was married in.

It's so touching and also depressing to see a couple at the age of 17 care for each other that much and then lose each other like that. =(

Amelie Poulain is fantastic. How the story is told, the photography,it's weirdness and of course,Amelie itself

Really like it.

My two most recent ones:

Gattaca: Andrew Nicoll, is a skilled writer and director, being able to write characters that both support and appose the protagonist, appear likable to the audience is not an easy thing to do. After becoming emotionally invested in this underdog of a character, you feel such warmth when you see him succeed in an otherwise impossible feat. The ending, is one of the most emotional endings I've seen in a film.

Batman Begins: Surprised at the title? Now how can a summer blockbuster, comic book film be moving? The first half of the movie that's how. Batman Begins is like two movies in one. In the first hour you see the story arc of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman, after that first hour it's almost a new plot, but it does tie to the first half well. In the first half you see Bruce's fall from a regular healthy boy to an emotionally and psychologically tortured adult. After going though an unthinkable journey of self discovery, Bruce returns to be a madman in a bat suit, only to fight madness in the city his family struggled to defend. That scene at the docks when he tosses his pistol and confront Falcone, that is my favorite scene in the film. well written and performed.

What's not weird about my choices is that they're both Disney Pixar films.

WALL-E - This movie has proven, that humans aren't the only things in the world that can experience emotions. Comparing robots to humans , EVE was just like a baby that hasn't learned anything yet when she came to Earth, but the more she came intact with WALL-E throughout the movie, the more she began to develop feelings of her own. It made me tear a little seeing the scene where the captain is playing back the movie of her exploration on Earth, and she sees what WALL-E did to take care of her while she was in hibernation mode, it was cute to see how she finally discovered how WALL-E feels about her.

Up - It was the plain old fact that Mr. Frederickson and his wife may have been the most happy and adventure-seeking couple in the world. I don't think they've ever had a dispute with one another. Life was peaceful, from childhood to retirement. It made me sad to see that he had lost such a wonderful treasure when she reached the last of her moments in a hospital bed. It is naturally depressing to think about being alone knowing that the one you love is gone forever, and that's what really hit me when watching this movie.
