well, when i first started I thought it was gunna be Ashe and Vaan, then I thought Vaan & Penello, THEN I just gave up on any kinda romance til the end when I thought Fran & Balthier because of the way he looked at her on the Bahamut. Iunno......Il go with those to I guess.....

I keep hearing little rumors here and there that there was something between Ashe and Balthier, but I think that's entirely fan made nonsense. I never noticed anything remotely bonding between Ashe and Balthier in the game.

Vaan and Penelo are obviously the most likely couple (in an adolescent type of way).

Hmm. I don't know, I didn't really see any romance in the game, although there may have been hints dropped here and there.

As for those hints, I had a feeling it was more of an Ashe and Balthier pairing. I thought it was Ashe and Vaan at first since there was some sort of connection between him and her when it dealt with Lord Rasler. (Vaan and Ashe being the only ones who could see

). But that's where it stops. I didn't notice any romance between the two.

Balthier and Ashe, however...it was more than likely that they were starting to like each other, despite the countless heated glance thrown left and right at each other. I don't know, it was just starting to become obvious, even though there was no official announcement regarding the matter.
