Oh yes Yu Yevon Im looking at you, auto life my ARSE. Nuff said. Hollow hollw victory grrr. Had the potential to be epic but nuuuuu

Probably followed in a distant second ny Omega (FFVIII) it took me a while but once Id got my little strategy sorted it was just a matter of time - Iv only ever beaten him the once tho, but thats because I didn't know stocking magic affected your stats haha

So, most dissapointing battles for you gaiz?

The most disappointing boss battle was probably Seifer, for me. You'd expect him to be this high-octane bad ass after the intro FMV, then you end up beating him in like eight seconds flat. Terribly disappointing, though he's a bit more a challenge in the last fight.

Almost as disappointing as the Gary-Ash rivalry. wtf was that. D:

This is limited to Final Fantasy, I guess.

Could I get away with boss battles from Kingdom Hearts if the bosses happened to be Final Fantasy characters?

While they are sorta mini-bosses, I was disappointed with the fights against Cloud, Leon and Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts. They went down too easy. I wish the developers made them at least semi-challenging like they did with Sephiroth (who was still too easy).

I'm more of a Final Fantasy fan, but not a real player of Final Fantasy, so I hate to say this but I really haven't played any final fantasy bosses except for the first few in final fantasy XII... But the most dissapointing boss there would have to have been the Garuda... All I did was use all of my quickenings in begining of the battle and he pretty much died, and considering the boss battle before it I expected it to be a much bigger battle.....

The most disappointing FINAL boss for me was XII's because I was over levelled and he was too easy for me.
I would usually say Yu Yevon (but I don't think he really counts)

Kefka FF6 . The most easy boss I ever faced. FF5 was way harder. FF4 was hard too.

Kefka was a dramatic cake walk.

The last Seymour battle in FFX, I just equipped my main 3 with Fire/Lightning/Water/Ice Eater/Proof and he didn't do any damage. That, and Yuna was way overpowered so the Magus Sisters took him down with ease.

That, and the Seymour battle in Gagazet was considerably more difficult D:

i think when you are fighting seymour in ffx because if you have the right equipment he can't hurt you at all!!!

Hmm... My most disappointing boss fights:

Ultros: He is both annoying and repetitive. And all you really need to do is beat him to death.

Yu Yevon: I think the above statements speak for me.

FFX-2 dark aeons: All of them... Why were they dramatically weakened compared to the ones in ff10, heck, why were the characters so overpowered compared to the ones in ff10!?

FF4 four fiends: Why were they made bosses I'll never know, with elemental magic they never seem to be a challenge, just 4 shots of high powered magic and they fall on average.

FF9 Ark: Again, it does not wear the crown of boss well, if you get even one trance with your characters it's toast.

That'll do for now. :wacky:

Oh God, Yu Yevon FOR SURE, I've got my party with their celestial weapons )cept for Tidus) and all leveled up and have 99 of all potions, and I find out that no matter what you can't die. That was just really dissapointing, I mean, aren't the final bosses supposed to be, uh, HARD!!??

like I said in one of my threads, I beat Sephiroth in 3 turns. all I did was take down his wall w/ debarrier and use the Knights of the Round. easy win. however...

Yu Yevon was just ridiculous! You cant die!
and the Undying (Vayne)...well, l lets just say his ass died...easily...
I didn't expect much from Chaos, being the first FF and all, but he was easy as well.
and lets not forget the prez from FF8. use a phoenix down, BAM! your ass is grass!

Aye, undead bosses were abit of a gip, here, have a phoenix down *is dead* I like to have some sort of a challenge or I just feel like I haven't earned the right to scream really loudly and jump around like a prat (and yes I have donr that on more than one occassion :wacky:) I almost pee'd myself when I beat Emerald weapon xD

FFX: Battle with Seymour's Anima.

After the badass cutscence at the arena wasting all those fiends, you'd think he would've been hardcore as a boss battle.

It was more like "oh.. is that all?"

The one battle i really hated in any FF game was the battle against the Cloud of Darkness in FFIII, tough battle there. But the worst battle ever, as in way too easy, would have to be the battle against Yu Yevon. Seriously?!?!?! I literally killed him with a LVL 2 WAKKA, LVL 5 LULU, and a lvl 49 Tidus. and tidus hardly ever hit Yu Yevon!

FFIX's excuse for a last boss. Who the hell was Necron? Some random blue thing that just popped out of nowhere and said "Hey, let's fight!". If anyone knows the backstory behind him, I'd love to hear it because I was at a complete loss.

FFX's last boss was sort of lame in the sense that you couldn't even die...And Jecht was too simplistic for a last boss, he just hit sort of hard, no screwy status effects or anything.

I agree with the masses here: Yu Yevon. Horrible. Now that was one of the biggest disappointments, I have ever delt with, in a FF game.
You expect this insanely powerful summoner, who had the ability to summon something as large as Dream Zanarkand, not to mention create Sin, and you think: Why yes, this'll be a fierce battle. Nope. Not at all.

Yu Yevon was a disgrace all it had was auto cure magic if you had break damage limit you'll see why he's a disgrace.

Yu Yevon for sure. Auto life combined with Gravija meant you'd die, then get back, die, then get back etc etc.

He looked like a floating oil spot as well. Ugly mofo.

All Zombie bosses are just a joke really, the second Evrae took the piss. When I read in the guide that I had to fight her again I was really annoyed...until it told me you just had to use two Phoenix downs.

Lame.
