Most Difficult Game You've Ever Played

Ninja Gaiden (NES)

I got to the last area, before the final boss. I could never make it past this jump. Once I got the hang of the game itself though, it wasn't horrible.

I know what jump you're talking about. There's actually a glitch in the game to get by it. If you stand on the ledge before it and slowly walk across you'll see the annoying dude in White that is just one of the many rejections that prevents you from getting to the ledge. If you got him on the very edge of the screen and crouch, he will disappear. Now this works at random times so the timing is vicious.

And how about Megaman V? Dear lord. This was the hardest Megaman for me to beat. The level designs and enemy placements made me throw my controller over and over again. Then I feel like shit when there are youtube videos of people going through the game and not getting hit. A good game but relentless as hell.

Most difficult game?

[Prototype]. Hands down. You're health bar melts away like a cheese stick on asphalt in Phoenix. And the final boss took me 2 hours to defeat. Hardest SOB I've ever faced in a game since Beowulf from Devil May Cry 3. At least I killed Beowulf when I finally conceeded that I might have to use a health item (later I found out there were ways to damage him I didn't know of, and that made him much easier) but the end boss in Prototype is just insane. The BEST part is that you have to take out a quarter of his health under 2 minutes that are timed by a clock that's jacked up on caffeine and amphetamines, and you can't just sit there and hack at him because one hit from him will kill you instantly, even if you're at full health.

Bull.

Shit.

Play it on easy, people. Dear god, play it on easy.

As for everyone naming Ninja Gaiden as the hardest game; You're suffering is anything but unnoticed.

I'm gonna say Suffering: Ties that Bind. Just because this is the only game I've ever given up on because I couldn't beat it. Even on the normal difficulty, this game handed my ass to me time and time again. It doesn't help that this game is one of those games that's really stingy with it's continues. You die, you lose anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes of your fucking life for each time that you die.

And also, Castlevania: Chronicles... Fuck that game! I've heard it's basically just an enhanced remake of the original ( I wouldn't know, I'm only a casual fan of the series) and my God is this game unforgiving. Death took me so many tries that I almost broke the game.
