Have you ever played this game? it's ''overpowerly'' the biggest game there is for Playstation Portable. I'm pretty sure most people in here know the Monster Hunter Series, there is previous versions for Ps2, but Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the biggest title today! and it's for a handheld console!

General Features
  • The biggest Monster Hunter title to date, with over 500 hours of gameplay
  • Huge variety of character customizations, including 1500 weapons and 2000 armour sets (THIS IS HUGE)
  • Players can form a team of up to 4 players through wireless Ad-Hoc play and experience the multiplayer social gaming phenomenon
  • "Media Install" option where players can save the game to a memory stick, allowing the game to load from the memory stick and UMD simultaneously for faster loading times
  • AI "Felyne" companion who will accompany players on quests and gather extra resources. With the 'felyne casting' feature players can share their companions with other players, transferring data using the PSP's sleep mode.
  • Fans of the series can transfer their character data from Monster Hunter Freedom 2 to continue their adventures

i like playing this series but i suck at it big time. i don't really have much strategy or anything, all i can do is go up to the monster and just start hacking away at it. and i also can't play it for long time becasue i tend to end up having a headache after a while playing it.

Well yeah, the game itself is not the easiest there is

If you download the Japanese Ad-hoc party program from the Japanese psn store, you can play with other people far away.

This has to be my most favorite PSP game EVER.
It's so realistic, and epic! I remember playing mulitplayer, and we were hunting down the giant crab Daimyo Hermitaur, and it shot right up from the ground and launched me in the air! That really freaked me out. :P How fatigue can overpower you if you run too much, how you actually stagger when you get hurt, how you can make your character run and lie flat on the ground and try to hide because they're scared... ah... just so many little details that I love so much. :D
It's so hard too, but it's so FUN. Love it. :awesome:

I've been playing Monster Hunter for almost a year now and I got to say that it is one of the best PSP game that I have ever played. Me and my brother will play for hours because it is a attractive game. We already beaten the game and we still play for the fun of it. This game is well balanced on its difficulties and that what makes this game so enjoyable. That's why it is one of the most popular PSP game out there.

I've tried monster hunter a few times, but they seem to be more multiplayer based than anything, and I can't really Ad-hoc.

They're great games, and they always start out well but I always find the difficulty steeping very fast early on and I can't catch up. Don't know if that's just me but it always tends to happen.

Anyway, I think I may try this out.
It sounds rather fun, who knows I may enjoy it. :hmmm:
