Right here we can think about mixing the ff game universes with other games or films to make another game like kingdom hearts

SE could make a game with matrix people, and you have to jack into the ff universe

i shud so be working for SE on the idea panel oh yer :D

I'd have loved a game with Final Fantasy colliding with the Marvel or DC universe (or just a combined general superhero universe)... I think that could have worked out quite well!

How about... Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy! All the universes come together... Not in a Dissidia style, but like literally as many FF characters you can think of in one game...

I was thinking they could easily unite them via Gilgamesh if it is to be taken that he is lost in the Void and travelling from dimension to dimension, picking up his sword copies on the way... Imagine who he could meet? Who he could take with him?

It'll be like Doctor Who for Final Fantasy!

oh yes another ingenious idea by me :D, ff characters in a call of duty or socom online game that would be brilliant. I can just see myself as Vincent sneaking through a ruined Midgar and shooting cloud in the head :D

I had this idea a while ago too. I was thinkign about it while playing Red Faction 2.. I was sayign to myself "wouldn't this be awesome, if you could play as FF characters and cast magic and stuff?"

I'd love an expansive fighter game across huge maps, and vehicles in them etc (such as Magi-Tek armour!).. Would be great.

I had this idea a few years ago. Basicly its a cross over of 5 and 8. An evil Mage from V's world (reusing the Ex-Death idea) attempts to control the Void, but it goes out of control and two universes begin to collide. Bartz and Faris get thrown into VIII's world and must team up with the characters such as Squall to stop the process from fully consuming both worlds, with help from Gilgamesh. Whilst the combined armys of both worlds are at war with each other (because neither know whats really going on, both thinking the other side are invaders) and having to deal with own personal differences along the way.

Unfortuanatly I never really have time to write out a detailed fan-fic, nor would I be any good lol

Thats certainly good though! I'd love Gilgamesh to travel to many other FF dimensions too, and each one he visits something can happen, and the example you named could be an example, ie the void is activated for too long that two universes collide and clash with one another.

Hmmm... Perhaps Gilgamesh could even end up on a parallel universe?! A "What if?" universe.. Say what would have happened if Jenova had defeated the ancients, and Gilgamesh lands on that universes FF7 planet? Devestated by the carnage caused by Weapon trying to rid the earth of Jenova, with no-one left to save it.

But I realy do feel there is a lot they can do with Gilgamesh if they wanted to go down that route, as it is more than hinted that he has crossed dimensions from FF5 into FF8, and could possibly be the same Gilgamesh as FF12's Gilgamesh.. In FF12 he had copies of the Brotherhood and Bust Sword suggesting that he may also have gone to Spira and the FF7 world at some point too.. So there is definately alot they could explore with the character Gilgamesh.. He is alot more than just a recurring character named after an ancient hero. He may possibly be one of the main, or only links holding the universes together... The only true recurring character.

My Gilgamesh dies though as all things need to return to their rightful universe to close it all up properly, and seeing as his original world was V's he gets swooped away into V but doesn't quite survive....yeah im dark. :|

I do like this idea of travelling the different universes as character (Gilgamesh) but as you have have to fight him in ff12 and he has the swords from different ff games, wouldn't that mean he is a bad guy and have to go round each universes making chaos and killing the main hero's from that universe, i don't mind killing vaan ff12 was crap.

Gilgamesh isn't realy evil, he's just a professional fighter and enjoys challenging people. He started off as a villain in FFV, but realy moved more to the side of good as the game progressed and he realised he was working for the wrong side.
So I beleive that in a game covering his travels through the void he will be a good guy on the whole, but will probably fight the occasional good warrior, just to test himself constantly.

That's the way I veiwed him anyway. I think he'll have more respect for good warriors.

There is no good or evil, right or wrong, just two sides with different opinions....just because you fight Gilgamesh in the games doesn't mean to say he can't be a good guy, who gets pissed off when Quina steals his packet of Monster Munch.

Oh yeah. Gilgamesh would just dimension hop and pick up some people to take with him to the different worlds. Gilgamesh forms a party of: Every single playable FF character you could possible think of. xP
