In America, PS4 sold over 1 million consoles in one day... XboxOne sold that many in I think 11 countries...

And today Sony announced that it sold over 2.1 million copies total with the console being released in Europe and Australia... (about 700,000 of that being in Europe and Australia.) And they have yet to release the console in Japan, where it is projected to be the highest selling console of this generation...

So what are the XboxOne's figures? This is what they have to say...

While Microsoft says Xbox One owners have spent over 50 million hours in games and entertainment on the new console the last 11 days, the company is also providing some fairly meaningless game-related stats. Microsoft says over 3 billion zombies have been killed in Dead Rising 3, over 90 million miles driven in Forza 5, over 186 million enemies slayed in Ryse, and over 150 million combos completed in Killer Instinct. The figures show Xbox One users are clearly getting to grips with the launch titles, but Microsoft isn’t ready to provide an update on its console sales. "Eleven days in we are seeing record breaking sales and are selling every Xbox One we can make," says Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi. "Demand is far exceeding supply in the 13 countries we’ve launched and we are sold out at retailers around the world."

 Sorry but this just made me laugh...

I thought the Xbox One has owned the PS4 in sales at the moment in the US because of Black friday? There was some site that they have seen target and walmart etc have about 60% of console sales were to microsoft in which it was 30-30 to X360 and Xbox One? I may be wrong but I also do find it funny with those stats, just a way to hide their shame under these facts :P (I am an xbox person as well as PS)

This is true, but you have to realize that PS4 has sold a lot more as well, and this is in very few countries that Sony has sold way more than XboxOne (although right now Microsoft hasn't released official numbers on it yet)

So really you can say "XboxOne is selling 60% more on Black Friday than PS4" When PS4 already outsold the XboxOne in one country than XboxOne did on it's release in I forget how many countries.

What I find scary though is that Microsoft actually knows these numbers!!!! tells you how easily they are able to track you now....

I've never seen any local stores that are out of Xbox Ones. In fact, the shelves are often still full. Just my experience, though.

poor microsoft.

idk why psers and xboxers are always going at each other's throats. mass support behind a specific thing doesn't mean that thing is great or whatever. i mean, how many hundreds of millions of people like the twilight saga? how many hundreds of millions buy CoD games (even though everyone makes fun of the series). numbers don't mean shit.

both systems are more of the same. only difference is, i like how the xbone allows me to play a game and do multiple things at once. pretty neat. that said, ps doesn't have spy-on-you-cameras. :ahmed:

both systems have good and bad

If both consoles are the same then why are there such a vast difference in sales figures?

Consumer bias?

Current update:

Sony claims to have sold roughly 7 million consoles to consumers. Microsoft is reporting to have sold 5 million consoles to retailers. So the Xbox One seems to be spending more time sitting on shelves. With a higher price tag, that isn't too surprising.
