Max Payne 3 inventory shaping up nicely
Before we take a look at an early hands-on preview of Max Payne 3 it’s time to look at how the inventory is shaping up nicely, and two weapons that stand out for us is the mini-30 rifle and the 608 Bull revolver. Both weapons are good in their own way, the former is ideal if you wish to take out a room with great accuracy and the second is for that one-shot kill at close quarters.
We already know so much about the 608 Bull revolver because we covered this weapon in detail in a previous post, which you can see here but you can also take a look at the gun in action in the third video below. The mini-30 is a completely different weapon, as it’s a gun that mirrors the anguish of a troubled man and will no doubt give Max a sense of relief while he is able to pick off those who are coming at him thanks to the weapon holding 20 bullets.
Where the mini-30 rifle differs from the 608 Bull revolver is in its accuracy, as the former can take out a target with ease with a range up to 100 meters. You will need to practice your skills with this gun because once you have it in your inventory it’s a formidable weapon, yes there are other weapons that can spew out the bullets faster but in some cases you need a gun that you have far more control over.
Other weapons that you can use in Max Payne 3 are the Glock, Ingram Mac 11, Beretta 92F, Smith & Wesson Revolver, Barrett Light 50, Uzi and a Desert Eagle.
That’s not all upon closer inspection of various trailers we can also see that Max Payne will also be handling a Taurus PT92 AF, M1911, Ingram MAC-11, Beretta M12, HK94, Mossberg 590 Cruiser, Benelli M4, AK-47, IMBEL MD-97 LC, FAL 7.62mm, FX-05 Xiuhcoatl and finally a Barrett M107 for those sneaky attacks.
Which of these weapons appeals to you most and what other gun would you like to see in the inventory?
In a recent article they have been previewing Max Payne 3 to see what all the fuss is about, and it’s easy to see how impressed they are; they point out that the game is all about the guns, which we have already established and how the game as a whole has evolved.
They were also impressed with the visuals and how the AI now seems more intelligent when compared to previous versions. Whiles it’s easy to point out a few concerns with the new game you can’t help but feel this will be the best Max Payne yet, but would you agree?
