Man Gives Birth To His Twin
< Click Link!

A man who carried his unborn twin brother in his abdomen for 30 years is recovering after the embryonic remains forced their way out of his body — through his belly button.

In a scene straight out of the movie Alien, Gavin Hyatt burst into his local doctor's surgery in agony with a bloody mystery object emerging from his stomach.

"At first I thought I had been stung by something due to the burning pain in my belly button," he was quoted by The Sun as saying.

But when he started to bleed and realised it was being caused by an object pushing out of his body, he drove himself to the surgery.

"It was like something out of Alien — I didn't believe Gavin when he said something was coming out of his belly button until I saw him," Dr Joe Santos told The Sun.

After running tests, it was confirmed the object was a parasitic twin — Mr Hyatt's identical brother who had died in the womb within the first month of their mother's pregnancy and had worked its way into the surviving sibling's tissue prior to birth.

Four doctors had previously examined the mystery lump on his belly, with most dismissing it as an ingrown hair or cyst.

Mr Hyatt now keeps the embryo in a jar at home and even refers to him as "Little Gav".

"I feel absolutely fine now but it has not sunk in yet that I could have had a twin brother," he said.
How freaky would that be having your twin parasite brother eating it's way out through your belly button!

I've seen plenty of cases like this before, where the twin is still living inside their brother/sister, but never have I heard of them emerge from their body like that!

I also thought that it was a little strange that he kept the embryo in a jar at home and then gave him a name. =/

"I haven't told many people — I feel like a bit of a freak."
Well the world knows now mate!

That's just... creepy.

It's strange to think that any one of us could have something like this inside us and not know about it. I saw a documentary a while ago on this sort of thing, and one little boy aged about 9 had to have his surgically removed otherwise it was going to create complications for him in later life.

I don't see why they need to tell the media about it though. It's just gross. Although, I suppose it does raise awareness about this sort of thing.

When I first read this, I thought it was something as gross as Alien! XD But then I saw the picture and I was kinda relieved. Even so it's... very, very weird.

Strange how no previous doctor had it removed already. o_O If it was abnormal, they should've gotten it removed.

But it's kinda creepy to keep your would-be twin brother in a jar... even if it's an embryo. o_O

I don think little Gav can you hear you Mr hyatt
What kind of person would do that LOL
In a jar as well one things for sure i wont be eating strawberry Jam from that Jar

I think it's a bit insulting. I think he should have given him some sort of respectful buriel. I mean how long is that embryo going to be good for?

Wouldn't it rot and then start to smell?

Keeping your families ashes in an urn is one thing, but the leftover flesh of your parasite twin in a jar is another! :gasp:

Whoa whoa whoa! This story is weird! Actually it was very entertaining they should make a movie out of it. Course people might vomit in the theatre but.. I mean... I don't even know what to say!

"Mr Hyatt now keeps the embryo in a jar at home and even refers to him as "Little Gav"."

And what in the world is THIS about? I don't know whether to lol or be completely freaked out...The guy says he feels like a freak, well I guess he couldn't help carrying his twin. But dude, keeping him in a jar and naming him "Little Gav" is much weirder to me. >_>

This actually reminds me of an episode of the Venture Brothers, where Dr. Venture gave birth to his twin brother. But in Venture Brothers, the twin was still alive and, then tried to kill him. <_<

God, that's some seriously scary shit o.o

Personally I would freak, Im terrified enough of things like parasites inside of me, but...my unborn twin?

Belongs in a scary movie, lol.

I honestly don't know what I would do if this happened to me. I would freak out at first probably... But I would mostly feel sad that I absorbed my twin brother and forced him out my belly :(

Very cool story :O Freaky! But cool :sup:

This is so bizarre! I'd like to think that if I were feeling so bad then I would head to hospital sooner than when it's about to explode (or whatever). The pain must have been intense and telling yourself that it's just bowel movement/a hair/a cyst would be insane in this situation.
Wouldn't you know that there's a life inside you moving about or something? Or was it not moving until it started trying to get out?
Also, would the doctors really think that it's an ingrown hair or cyst? I wonder...because they would have to be pretty awful doctors to mistake a person for a hair :hmmm:

Maybe I just don't know enough about medical stuffs, but this whole story seems a bit...funny...

Doctors overlooking things that are very important seems to be the common thing these days. Thats the real problem.

And keeping the embryo in a jar....youd think there would be laws against that kinda thing as that really is just sick.

I don't know whether I should be creeped out or fascinated but I just this very weird that some guy absorbed his twin brother and it came out of his belly button in the future and keeps the embryo in a jar and naming it...

I am now officially paranoid. My twin died at 3 months in utero, my mom miscarried him but what if there's still pieces of him left inside me?! :gasp2:

it's a bit odd that he keeps the embryo in a jar, did it say where he's from (the link doesn't seem to work)?

the fragility of life! certainly an indication that if we were "designed" it was done quite poorly.
