Mario Kart style Little Big Planet with Move support
Those of you who are fans of both of Little Big Planet and Mario Kart titles could be in for a treat as it looks like Little Big Planet kart racing is coming to the PlayStation 3 and it will also involve Move support, which would be a welcome addition to this type of game.
News of an upcoming racing wheel along with a new LBP kart racing game similar to that of Mario Kart was recently announced from a tweet at a Sony event and Gamespot Asia has reported that the inventive platform game will be trying out a new scenario. Apparently a Canadian retailer who tweeted from the official event and other tweets from Future Shop has commented on the creative platform game and that Sony is trying out a kart racing title for the PS3 with 3D support.
There will be an official PlayStation Move racing wheel that will be compliant with the game according to the tweets although this is yet to be confirmed by Sony themselves. The Future Shop Twitter account let slip about Sleeping Dogs, the new Square Enix open-world game that involves martial arts action was mentioned prior to the actual official announcement, so this could be a news source worth investigating.
Various opinions regarding this being true have not been overly welcoming of LBP turning its eyes to a kart racing format and fans of Modnation Racers and Mario Kart feel Sony should leave it alone. Others want a Mario Kart style game with great characters from Little Big Planet and with better racing than Modnation Racers. This could be a welcome addition to LBP and kart racing titles yet some comments refer to those type of games in LBP2 that you can make yourself.
Not long after the speculation surrounding this rumor surfaced a new ad came out showing initial screens of Little Big Planet Karting, an article on PlayStation Lifestyle talks about this leaked ad that will show a first look at the game. The image has not been confirmed although it seems to be a rather decent fake in a limited amount of time, and even if the in-game pictures are blurred, the graphics look similar to Little Big Planet 2. Other reports on Twitter mention combat and weapons along with transferable outfits from the Little Big Planet titles and these comments are also unconfirmed.
