Why does the lighting Summon change within each and every game? Can't they not kept just one and leave it at that?

Shiva, Ifrit, Bahamut are in alot of the FF games. =/.

There might be a lighting-based Bahamut in Bahamut Lagoon, but in FFs he's always been non-elemental.

I'm perfectly happy with Ramuh. Old sage/god of lighting has always seemed pretty cool to me, i dont understand why SE feels the need to change the lighting summon.

Quezacotl looked like crap, and Ixion is just lame. Not to mention that even though it's a horse it looks like a damned goat.
 
LOL! A goat? haha. I liked Ixion. I thought it was better than Ramuh. Also, Quezocotl looked like a giant blob. Ugh.
 
Ramuh I thought was the best version of the Lightning summon. I mean, Quezacotl was almost the epitome of lightning, but Ramuh's just....good. That's all I can say about it, because I've always like Ramuh's summon.

And Ixion...no, not Ixion. XD
 
I'm not sure...I'm positive that Ramuh has appeared in more than one FF game...hasn't he? I do wish that Ramuh would make a return as the primary lightning summon. He is among my favorites. ^.^
 
Yeah, i never even realized he's appeared that much till i looked it up just now o_O

I dont know why they like replacing him, he's a perfectly good summon. That would be like leaving Ifrit or Bahamut out of a game (oh wait, XII did that already)
 
Yeah, they're ships...thats the problem -__-;

I dont want my beloved Ifrit and Bahamut reduced to friggin ships and i dont want to use fugly summons like Belias and that blob thing.

Whatever, thats for a different discussion xD

Point is, apparently Ramuh has been in most every FF, but i guess since VIII and X were so recent, it feels like we've seen less of him. He was even in the Chocobo Mysteries series and FF Fables.
 
Ohh, I see. Well, I've only played VII, VIII, X, X-2, DoC, XII, FF:CC.

I only seen Ramuh once. haha. I guess that's why.

Also, I don't think Ramuh fitted in with X's look and feel.
 
Hmm...yeah, i cant really see Ramuh in X either.

You need to play VI and IX, they're great ^_^ IX gave summons a pretty big role in the story, right under VI, so it's great to see games that do the summons justice.
 
Well, I really do need to play IX. It's hindering my FF knowledge. haha.

Ramuh needs to come back then. Well...i can see him in FFXIII either. xD. He's such an old fart.

Quezacoatl was meh. Ixion was just hideous. I never actually used Adrammalech.

I always liked Ramuh as the lightning summon. He has a cool name and I like the sound of Judgment Bolt.
 
Ixion used Aerospark and Thor's Hammer. Quezacoatl used Thunder Storm. Like I said, I never used Adrammalech so no clue what he used.
