Lightning Summons

Ramuh has always been a favorite of mine as well. I did like Quezacolt, but he really was nothing special in my opinion (design wise). I also though Ixion was interesting, just not that interesting... In all, Ramuh remains my favorite as a Lightning summons.

Adrammalech used Judgement Bolt too if not mistaken. I think Quezacotl and Ixion too.

I didnt even know Adrammalech was lightning type Like Telmaen, i never used him either.

Ramuh just plain wins

I used him when I first acquired him. I like to use all of them at least once. lol.

Adrammelech was possibly my favourite. Typically because most of the Lightning-based summons in any FF game started out weak, or stayed that way (as is notably the case in VII). His appearance is also far superior to that of an old man and a horse... plus he's representing Capricorn; my star sign. 8D


I did use Ramuh a lot throughout the various games he appeared in though. However, my personal favourite remains Adrammelech thusfar.

His Design was done really nicely. He was the best looking throughout the Lightning Summons.

Quezocotl = Big Blob
Ramuh = Old Man
Ixion = A confused horse/goat

ive always thought of ramuh as the lightning summon

ixion was just plain wrong, but aside from shiva and ifrit i didnt like any of the summons in ffX

I liked that adremmalech was a dragon, but it just doesnt replace bahumut, as a lightning summon though - they could have done a lot worse

You do make a good point. Particularly in VII, he becomes useless later on. And I agree that Adrammalech is awesome-looking. I still don't really know quite how summons work in XII. I summoned Belias once and he died...immediately. Never used them again.

I agree adrammelech should appear in more games, hes in Tactics and Tactics advance so must be an Ivalice only thing though

I don't like Ixion. It looks like an angry unicorn with rabies.

Quezocotl was alright. The idea of a thunder bird casting Thunder storm is cool but cliche. Quezocotl design confused me. Did it have eyes?

I liked Ramuh. Square shouldn have left Ramuh as the official thunder summon.

I wish they had stuck with Ramuh. He was a pretty cool summon and he had a pretty big role for a summon in VI and IX. I don't understand why they replaced him actually unless it had something to do with wanting a cooler summon and not some old man for the more recent games.

whether or not ramuh is old matters not, look at gandalf. the man's ancient but he pwns. also ramuh is another traditional, gotta love him.

He is traditional but maybe there is a cause for a change. lol. He may not have not have been that popular.
