For decades now, Jalaria Suburbs has been cursed by an evil witch named Alison, who condemned the small place and its frozen residents to be trapped forever in time after an immense fight between her and Rose in the depths of the Dark Forest

Rose, the elder of the town, has been happy to live in harmony with the others trapped within the suburbs. However, dark creatures summoned by Alison have recently begun to enter the town at night and gruesomely murder those outside. Ferocious banging and crashes have been heard upon the doors of those wise enough to stay indoors, and the night before this RP started, a house was broken into, and its residents have disappeared into the Dark Foest most likely.

Rose is unnerved by these new developments in her life and knows that there needs to be change, and fast, before everyone in the Suburbs is murdered. They need to escape. They need to be liberated, and there is only two ways out of this hell.

The Dark Forest, and death.

Panic etched into his features, a tall, dark skinned man was running along the darkened ground of the Dark Forest, dry leaves crunching under his feet, branches, brambles and thorns cutting painfully into the skin of his exposed arms, drawing thick scarlet blood that trickled down his arms. He shivered as an unnatural cold chilled his spine and legs, even though his torso and legs were wrapped in thick, warm clothes.

But he ignored all of this. Fear clouded all of that as he ran. His heart hammered on his chest like a fist as he travelled through the seemingly ceaseless darkness that simply went on and on. There was only one thought going through his head at that moment and would be the only thought in his mind until his objective, identical to his thought, was at last accomplished.

To escape through the Dark Forest.

In Jalaria Suburbs, atop a large hill, an immense brass bell was ringing as Rose banged her staff upon it. It was the council house, and for anyone to sound it meant that they were calling a meeting of all the townspeople. It had to be urgent for such a summons.

A huge shape flew from the shadows, leaping at the man. He screamed as the shadowy shape struck him and he was knocked into a copse of bushes. For a moment, there was rustling, screaming, then silence.

Rose, talking to noone in particular, looked up at the sky, and spoke three simple words to herself.

"We need liberation."

Leo sat outside his hut working the imperfections out of his latest blade, as he watched the birds dance across the horizon as the sun began to set, marking the time to pack up and get inside before the monsters awoke. Leo sat their for another 10 minutes before he heard the first sound of the monsters waking from their daytime slumber.

As Leo got up with his tools in one arm and the blade balancing on his other Leo suddenly jolted bolt upright as he heard a blood curdling scream coming from the direction of the Dark Forest, Leo thought to himself "thats another ignorant person who didnt heed the warnings". Leo grabbed up his tools and the blade and chucked them into the unit. He sat down and pulled on the first top he got hold of, Leo then grabbed his blade from the rack pulled on a jacket and picked up a strong torch and left his hut in search of any survivors who made it out of the forest, though it was highly unlikely anyone ever will. Leo left his hut and pulled the shutters down over the windows and door and bolted and padlocked them shut. He then switched on the torch and unsheathed his blade.

Leo had been searching for what seemed like hours when he suddenly realized that his throat was parched and that he needed a drink so he decided to head into the Jalria Suburbs and headed for the pub there, were he might also find some work seeing as not many people had come to him recently about having blades crafted so in recent months he decided to branch out into mercenary work.
Once inside the pub he sat down at a stool and called to the barman to bring a large whiskey on the rocks, after the barman brought him his drink he asked him if anyone had put in any request for a mercenaries duties.

(((OOC:Hope this is ok ^_^)))

OOC: Great post! Jalaria Suburbs is only one place, but sure it can have a pub, I guess. He should head up to the council meeting so that Rose can RP with him.

"Summer" as she prefered to be called, rushed through the forest, breathing heavily and looking back over her shoulder, those things were out there....whatever they were they had killed her entire unit...

She darted her gaze looking for an escape, she knew she didnt have a moment to spare, they could be on her any minute...her heart raced as she pushed on harder and harder, dodging the branches from the trees...until she finally laid eyes on the village she had been despatched to investigate...

Without a seconds thought she ran into the village, still armed with her trusty m16 assault rifle...attracting a lot of attention....

"HELP!!....there everywhere!....they killed em....they killed em all!!" She shouted as she collapsed on the ground completely out of breath and exhausted from her narrow escape from the dangerous creatures that lurked within the forest...

The barman replied with a shake of his head and said "You should go see Rose about stuff like that" "Where can I find her?" Leo asked curiously. "You can find her at the council meeting, just up the road from here." With that information in his head Leo downed the last drops of his drink slipped his hand into his pocket and dropped a few coins onto the counter, and walked out the door and off up the road until he met an important looking person, to whom he said "Are you Rose,if not do you know where I can find her?".

Rose let out a gasp as she saw Summer and ran over to her, drawing her staff and summoning the healing energies necessary for her to revive the almost unconcious woman lying on the ground before her.
White light poured from her staff, enveloping the woman in soft healing light. "You'll be OK. You'll be just fine," she said gently.

She turned to Leo as she finished the healing, and villagers carried her to a soft bed. "Yes, I'm Rose. How can I help you?"

Leo noticed something happening near to the edge of the dark forest and saw someone lying on the ground and someone using healing energies to revive the fallen person. Being the caring kind Leo ran over to find out what was going on and saw that it was a woman lying on the ground. "Whats happened to her? Have the monsters attacked her?" Leo asked the woman healing the woman on the floor,as he lifted the womans head and put his jacket beneath her head to comfort her.

Rose watched with a little regret as Summer was carried away. "She may never leave," she said cryptically to herself, then noticed Leoand acknowledged his question. "What? Oh, yes, I regret to say she was attacked, though thankfully I believe she will be fine with the right treatment. It is a terrible affair, truly terrible. It's why I called today's meeting, you see," she admitted, shaking her head in despair. "I want to discuss the future of our existence here."

"Would you mind if I tagged along for I might have something that may be able to help you and your people." Leo said with a tone of sadness as he acknowledged what Rose had just said.

Eating some scraps he managed to salvage from some dumpster, he sighed deeply.
Being a red fox, a creature that many looked at with disgust as they were vermin, he often had problems finding food. And the fact that he was sentient and could speak the human tongue did not help. In fact, he had tried this some time ago, revealing his gifts to someone other than his past caretaker. What happened was that he was imprisoned and they made an attempt to auction him off. Little did they know he had the ability to command the forces of nature, so he got out with little problem.

A sigh escapes his mouth again, not only were he forced to eat out of the dumpster today, but he was trapped in this small opening in the middle of the forest along many others.

He sat down, and looked to the sky, oh how he wished that he could simply fly out of here, or that his past caretaker would arrive, with his powers perhaps they would manage to get out.
Wandering around town he suddenly found himself near a pub, or a bar, or something along those lines, though he could read basic words he had some issues with some longer sentences.

OOC: To make things simpler, know that Soris is a red fox, somewhat larger than most of his race, but in appearance he looks like a common beast.
Though one might get a different feel of his aura, one should not know what he is right away.
He is presently outside of the pub you dudes are in.

Whilst Leo was speaking to Rose he noticed a large fox like creature come walking along and sit down outside the pub he was just in, but it felt as if their was another human nearby. Leo looked around all over the place to see where the aura he could feel was coming from and could see noone other than him and Rose in the area.
Leo decided he should go and investigate the fox like creature and noticed that it was larger than most foxes, which prompted Leo to speak to it in a kind tone so as to not anger it, "H...H..Hello there, do you understand me?" Leo asked whilst making signs with his hands to imitate his words.

Soris was slightly taken off, a human decided to talk to him, unprovoked. Having a spiky mantle of black hair, though he looked young he did not seem unskilled.

As interesting as this could get, he chose to remain a best rather than reveal himself.
As the human spoke to him, he simply replied with a common foxen yelp, in the hopes of that it would lead him off, and perhaps get a smack bite to eat.

Leo realised this was the source of the unusual aura and decided if he wasnt gonna respond in any other form, he might as well give him something to eat, with that Leo reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out some bread and meat wrapped in some plastic which he carefully took off leaving the meat and bread in front of the large fox. With that Leo sat down beside him and layed back watching the stars.

OOC: Stars? I thought it was day. Ah well, it be night nao!
----------------------

As the man stopped trying to talk to him, not knowing if he knew something or if he believed Soris’ bluff, he decided to be careful.
Though he was suspicious, half of his plan worked at least, food was served.

In the true fox nature, that even Soris could not deny, he darted over, snatched the food, and darted away getting some 10 meters distance, before eating the food.
As said food was consumed, the human had lied down stargazing. Thinking for several minutes, he decided to take the chance.
“Thank you for the food” he said, in the distance, still being on his toes.

"So you can speak?" Leo shouted after the fox taken aback by the fox suddenly speaking, "Ok, now I know you can speak whats your name?". Leo shouted with curiousity.

Soris, sitting down facing the human, looked at the eager human.
“I thought it was a human custom to introduce oneself before asking for another’s name” he bluntly spoke. The main reason was that he preferred to see how honest the others seemed as he introduced themselves, before he let they know his name.
It was something he had learned some time ago, not only did it show honesty, but Soris’ heightened senses let him detect lies easier.

Awaiting a response, he simply sat there waving his tail back and forth.

"My name's Leo Nevar,Swordsman, Blacksmith and Mercenary by trade." Leo said whilst looking deep into the foxes eyes and holding out his hand.

Soris did what could be best described as an attempt to smile as the human introduced himself.

Still holding its distance, he made a nod as he introduced himself. “I doubt severely you could pronounce my family name, but you may call me Soris” he completed the sentence around the same time his head came back up from the nod.
“I have no profession per se, if you need one you can call me protector of the forest” he added, which were far from a lie, and close to the truth. Where he had no profession, being a creature of the forest, with the powers to control it, he could call himself a keeper of it with little problem.

"If I may ask, where did you come from?" Leo asked curiously sitting up even more than before whilst watching as the who had identified himself as Soris kept his distance.

“I come from the forest, what did you think?” Soris asked in a humorous tone clearly aimed at the logical part of be being a beast of the forest. Though he was very different indeed, he still had the same origin as any other. Though as he let out a small chuckle after his sentence, it only further proofed that he was not as his other mammal brethren.
