Well i wanted to make a tut for my current sig as its incredibly easy to make and looks pretty effective (i think) Its not totally step by step. ie i dont explain how to make new layers and stuff. But anyone who has a basic grip of ps should be able to follow it no problem.
Hope you learn something from it and if u make it post up your results as id love to see your outcomes. Also any questions. Post them and il be happy to help answer them.

Excellent work dude! Actually pretty easy to follow. I have never done anything as far as GFX goes, but back in the day I use to do a bunch of Green Screen stuff with original pics.

I tell you what... the things these photo-journalists do with photoshop today, makes me wonder if anything is real on the news or magazines.

Hahaha thanks man and yea what you can do with photoshop is scary It does make you wonder whats been altered to change people perspectives on things.
 
Great tut mate, tried it. Though didn't turn out the way I wanted it, but I'll try it again soon enough, just need to get the balance right. Well done!

It all started going tits up after the whole gradient thing, there was no way I could work that, it just went a funny colour, so I skipped it out, the further I was going down the list the more I was doing wrong, but I had a bash, and Ive missed out the text.... but I think Ive learnt some shit, so at least I'l take that away 8F Infact after the contrast thing never mind gradients it went completely tits up.....

Heyyyy not bad at all Kod ma boy. Id say thats your best yet. Maybe have a look at re-doing the text its a bit distracting but i really like what uve done with the rest of the tag. Nice one ;)
 
Bit stuck, for some reason lighting effects is greyed out for me and I can't figure out how to change that.
 
Here is my attempt at this tut but as always I cant seem to work out how to do it, and so once again I have deviated from the tutorial. :D

sometimes when effects are greyed out,your on the wrong layer, like an adjustment layer, make sure you have selected the layer you want to put the lighting effect on, if that is not it i dunno what else.
