there is a little problem with 8 bits.....ugly and annowing black blocks appear on the screen( on FF8 and Baldur's Gate 2 to be honest). There is an alternative by playing on software rendering....but the graphics are even more uglyer...and laggy too for unknown reasons.
ya, i played the super nintendo version of it... *its actually number 2 in super nintendo version and #6 is actually number 3 in super nintendo, lol* <---- i still get confused with that...
Honestly I know what the problem is: an option called 8 bit paleted textures.....aparently the high-end graphics gards do not possees such an option since 2001+ games no longer use this option. And unfortunately I own a GeForce 8500GT....so no 8 bit paleted textures for me
PS: You were right....FF9 is a good game....I've just crashed with that ship in the forest. Nice game and outstanding cinematics.
battles are nice...I loved the minigame with Blanc(the sparring thing) to impress the audience. The areas are a bit repetitive right nowe....I mean the castle....but that doesn't bother me much.
