Kingdom Hearts: The Unsung War

Moving on.....

IC: Luna was bleeding from the side of the head, but despite this, she kept the fight, using magic to keep Scinfaxi away, buyng time for Chao to come and double team the Arbiter. Scinfaxi kept deflecting Luna's attacks, trying to get closer to her. Scinfaxi, tired of this game of 'keep away,' countered with magic of his own, using Flare to clear a sizeable area of his current location, the attack also damaged Luna's leg, and she was unable to out pace Scinfaxi, forcing her to fight in close quarters.

Raven saw Luna try to hold her own against Scinfaxi. Despite be barely conscious, he managed to hold on, to stay awake in a vain attempt to pick himself off the ground and try to even the odds, but with a hole in his shoulder, his upper arm is useless, it wouldn't matter. Raven must fight through the pain to survive this battle.

Trooper, whats the situation? Where are the pther keyblade masters and where needs reinforcements?

The head paratrooper, named Sgt. Gordon responded to Chao, "Ma'am, our objective is to clear out heartless forces at the top of the island so we can get Artillery and AA and help swat out remaining forces in the area. As for other keybladers, they are currently doing operations on other islands, they are unlikely to send in any more reinforcements at this point....."

As soon as Gordon finished, he heard a loud explosion, probably fire magic.

"You think you could help us take care of our little tank problem?"

As he said, 2 Heartless Tanks, a sleeker model than their artillery platforms came hovering in to the battlezone.
 
OOC: Ill ooc you when i take care of the tanks. Then you can direct me to my next obj.

"You think you could help us take care of our little tank problem?"

Who do you think you're talking to trooper? Of course i can.

Chao had peeked out and surveyed the battlefield. There was a considerable amount of distance between herself and the tanks. There were heartless swarming all over the place, least not to forget about the artillary. It was going to get really messy if she charged straight in.

Trooper! You two there! The one with the rockets. Pass me it!

The poor privates grimaced at the command, but they never would ever cross a keyblade master, especially in a battlefield. Still, giving their rockets away was a bit unnerving and made them insecure. Plus, could this woman even hold one? Why would she need two? Chao snatched both and hoisted the heavy weaponry ontl her shoulder. It was heavy, but bearable...for a short while. Her wounds throbbed, but it was nothing.

Pain is a state of mind....

Over and over again, Chao repeated this line, invoking her training and discipline.

Sgt Gordon! Tell your men to give me heavy suprssing fire. Everything they got.

Um, ma'am, wouldnt that be easier if you gave us the rockets?

No, you keep my sides safe. The rockets will clear out those in front of me. Go!

 Over and around the corner, Chao ran like hell. Maybe it was too instant or that these were not Eastern Cloud troops, but the cover fire came a few seconds later, firstly in small sporadic fire before the whole forcde began firing. It would suffice. Already, the heartless swarmed. Chao levelled her left launcher and waited.

A bit more...come on....NOW!


As she ran up a small mound, a large crowd of heartless had gathered at the other side. The first rocket slammed into the middle of the crowd, annihilating them. That was one of its objectives, but its other was to provide backwash boost. Chao had jumped right above the group and used the explosive blast to propel her further. Had it been anyone, they'd be blown to bits as well. With a thud, Chao landed further and raced on.

A bit more to go....
 
Raven was finally able to stand, his anger giving him focus to stay awake, to stay alive. Using his good arm, he summoned his keyblade, and ran towards Scinfaxi, a strike which Scinfaxi saw and reacted with a block from high altitude. Raven quickly responded with roundhouse kick (albeit weaker given his current position) that made Scinfaxi step back a bit before linking up with Luna.

"Raven, you're hurt, stay out of it." Luna said but Raven refused, "I can't do that, not with both our lives on the line." Raven pointed his Keyblade at Scinfaxi and started firing Fire spells, at him.

"Come on, I can't do this without you!"

Luna nodded and fired Blizzard spells at the Arbiter, had he been at full strength, he would be able to resist the attacks, but he was fighting the battle for too long against a persistant enemy, and was being pushed back, buying some time.
 
OOC: Hal is slowly dieing from lack of energy... He'll start to have wild visions whilst the battle is finshing off the abiter...

He shall remain for the rest of the battle in a purgatory stance...

IC:

Hal looked around the room that was in pitch black.. looking for a light switch.

"Damn there must be one around here somewhere"

Hal then found a small switch on the wall.. to his amazement it was the switch..

"Welcome Hal.."

"Mother?"

"Why do you do it?"

"Mother i'm sorry... there is nothing I can do...."

"You relied on your technology.. but not on your strength... you never needed it..."

Hal slowly looked around as the room which was filled with his own bedroom... as if he was home..

"You will have to come with me Hal... Its Over"

"Its never over...... Till my body lies weak and lifeless on the ground... it isn't over I carn't leave them there"

"You already have.... you lay weak and lifeless on the battle ground... you can do nothing..."
 
A second rocket burst from its tube, speeding down the plains before impacting heavily against an armoured Heartless. The monster exploded into a fireball of flames from the high explosive in which Chao quickly jumped through. The second line of enemies were broken, although only for her. A wall of these armoured beasts still stood. With an off handed motion, Chao let the now-empty rocket launcher drop from her hand, picking her speed up. Ultima whipped into her hand and with drive by motion, began mowing down those on her right. Like a ball of light in a sea of darkness, the warrior cleaved her way through and fortunately, made her way towards the heartless tanks with still two rockets. Not for long though as both shot out and impacted squarely on the leading tank. Before the explosion had finished, Chao rounded its side and launched a barrage of strikes with Heathen Flame and Ultima until there was a puncture in its armour. With its vulnerable engine exposed to the air, Chao launched a fireball straight into the opening, sending the tank spluttering and coughing before going up in smokes.

Tank is down Sargeant. You can move up to engage the heartless remnants!
 
"Son of a gun, you're already lady." The Seargeant was impressed at what Chao did, the tanks were gone, and that cleared the way up the hill.

"All right, men, let's move up!!!" The Seargeant started running up towards the hill with his company moving forward. With nothing more than a Gladius Sword and an Assault Rifle, they would be effective against multiple Heartless on the field.

At the top of the cliff, the soldiers encountered a large AA Battery, and several Heartless troopers. The Troopers opened up with fire and took out some of the forces in the area, opening the road for Chao, if she chooses, to take out the AA Battery and capture the cliff heights.

Meanwhile, below where the troopers are fighting, Raven and Luna were fighting for their lives, both them and the Arbiter were tired, Hal was unconsious and near-death, and Raven was wounded in one arm. Scinfaxi was able to overcome the two Keyblader's magical might, and launched a crushing knee strike to Luna's chest, forcing her to cough up bloodand putting her on her knees. Raven was now fighting Scinfaxi.

Raven began by kicking sand in Scinfaxi's eye which blinded him temporarily, and dropping his energy blade. Raven capitalized on this by launching a powerful kick at the Arbiter's chest, which was enough for him to cough up his own blue blood. But as Raven was about to launch a powerful kicking attack, Scinfaxi grabbed his leg and tossed him aside, Luna grabbed Scinfaxi from behind but she would be tossed right next to Raven. Now both Keybladers are on their backs as Scinfaxi starts to recompose himself.
 
With the path ahead clearing up, the AA batteries were open to attack. There was still resistance here and there, but nothing the boys couldn't handle. Heads flew as Chao cleaved through any resistance she could find. The more that was disposed of, the more troopers that would be available for the AA battery assault. It took a good 10 minutes to clear a straight path for an assault team. Satisfied with the rearguard, Chao ordered the attack.

Those not rear guard, storm the hill and take out the AA. Take cover and provide heavy, intense fire while i get in close. Move out!

Troopers roared out in a massive battle cry as they charged past Chao. Casually, one of Chao's hand settled on her ribs. Little did the men know, the throbbing had kicked up a notch. Regardless, Chao went on anyway, up the hill.
 
Both Keyblade knights slowly got up and onto their feets. Scinfaxi also recovered and charged at the two Keybladers like a freight train. Raven also charged at Scinfaxi, and both connected, with Scinfaxi grabbing Raven, and like a pro wrestler, lifting him into a seated position on his shoulders, and did a throwing Powerbomb, tossing him off his shoulders and threw him on the ground a good 15 feet away. Luna tried to use Magic, but Scinfaxi jumped and slamed on the ground with such power that it sounded like an explosion, which was heard throughout Gigantor Island.
 
Hal looked around for something to use..

"Ah"

Hal drew one of his swords from the table...

"You shaln't take me foul spirit.... Send me back"

"But Hal...... Can you not see what is happening... you aren't falling towards hell.. your flying... "

Hal thought for a second.

"she's right"

"Well since I'm flying i'll return"

Turning around a rought iron gate came infront of him..

"Your place is in Paradise Hal.."

"No... A murderer... A Warrior.... Fighting does not give me a right to paradise..."

"You died a hero's death..."

"I'm not dead!"

Hal swung around hitting a cable that was hanging down slowly the electrical pulse came through his sword and pumped his very soul..

Taking a large sigh his body uplifted as he took a breathe.. He was back

in his eyes he saw a spirit float above him..

"Don't worry Hal I'll always be here ready and waiting for your return to paradise.."

"Then you will be waiting a long time"

Hal thought to himself.. what was going on.. where was he... infact..who was he..
 
OOC: Was there one or two AA? And am i meant to join you after this?

Things went down a lot easier than expected. Either by chance or skills, the troopers lobbed grenades before the went over the crest of the hill and fortunately, landed mostly around the heartless forces defending the AA. With the road cleared, Chao once again went straight through the middle, being the point of the wedge while the men followed behind, splitting the enemy force in half like a wedge. While the heartless was distracted by the fire from the Troopers, Chao went for the AA. Heathen Flame burst into a bright fire while Cleansing Touch was wrapped around with swirling water and with a dash cut, both elements flared and went wild upon contact before subsiding. Shortly after, the AA exploded into a thousand pieces.
 
OOC: There is but one AA Unit, once it is destroyed, you do head off after us, you don't have to look far, they're downhill.

IC: With the AA Turret gone. The Sgt. Gordon was estatic. "You've done us a mighty fine job, lady!! Looks like we owe you one."

A scout ran up the hill, panting. "Sir, we've found 2 other Keyblade knights, there are currently engaging some big Heartless, must be the leader. THey're holding him off but at this rate, they won't last."

Turning to Chao, the Sarge said, "If that is the case, then you better get to them fast!"

Luna took the brunt of the attack Scinfaxi launched and was now knocked out cold. Now it was a badly wounded Raven taking on a Scinfaxi who was not as badly injured (He still had a shot up hand). He was now alone, with nothing more but Keyblade in hand and a broken revolver.

"I'm not planning on giving up my home, not now, not ever. You're out of reinforcements....you're out of men."

Scinfaxi laughed at the foolhardy boy, "Showing confidence in the face of death. You have my respect, but in the end, you will die."

Scinfaxi walked forward, forcing Raven to walk backwards until he backed into a tree, trapped. When the Arbiter got close, Raven swung at the Heartless with a Keyblade, only to block the attack and grab him in the neck with the wounded hand. "My face will be the last thing you will ever see, boy."
 
Glad that their current goal had been taken, the soldiers cheered. The battle was going to swing their way more due to their accomplishments on the hill. Chao was not relieved of her duties just yet. Her sudden running at full speed, knocking some of the celebrating soldiers over stunned the men, but before any could utter a single sound, Chao launched herself into the air like a bird with the help of an protuding I beam planted in the ground. Onwards she soared, the air rushing past her face is a flurry before intensifying as she descended. Ultima was in both hands, raised in an overhead slash. No war cry was given as she sped downwards towards Scinfaxi's head. Should she miss, the next target was the arms holding Raven.
 
Scinfaxi never saw the attack coming, as Chao swung at the Arbiter, hitting the Heartless in the head. Scinfaxi winced in pain as he dropped Raven, allowing the battered Keyblade knight. Now, Scinfaxi was on the defensive, as a fresh newcomer entered the fray.

Raven now had to catch his breath. Out of ammo, and with nothing more but a broken arm, a wounded shoulder and knife and keyblade in hand, he has to recover what little energy he has left, Scinfaxi is now on his last stand.

Pulling out his knife, Raven twirled it around with his hand, until he held the blade by the hand. He emptied his thought, and focused solely on the Arbiter, he had one shot to do this.

Raven threw the knife, and almost immediately it flew towards Scinfaxi, where it wound up stabbing the Arbiter through the leg.

"CHAO....." Raven yelled while panting, "Kick his ass."
 
"CHAO....., Kick his ass."

Chao's eyes widened as she saw the opportunity. She only had one chance and that was it. In slow motion, she watched Scinfaxi slowly drop to one knee as the blade sunk deep into the flesh. She herself moved on instinct, dashing forward. Her body disappeared. The only sign of where she was was the flying legs of Scinfaxi as Ultima cleaved through both. The heartless dropped permanently to the ground, still upstanding, but unable to move. Its eyes bulged in shock as he registered what has happened. Chao had reappeared by then behind it, Ultima positioned behind her in both hands, readying for a wide arching sweep. The air rumbled around the keyblade as a whirlwind of red energy sprialed. Flame erupted inside Chao's pupil right before she launched her attack.

Obliteration Technique! Ryu Zen Ken!


The slash came forward from below, sending the heartless up airborne. A deep cut which almost split it in half appeared, but that was not the end. Leaping into the air, Chao unleashed a flurry of slashes that becam quicker and quicker, slicing and dicing the heartless before she performed a forward slash through the pieces. As she landed, the path she took erupted into incinerating flames, disintergrating the heartless's remains.


Heartless ass kicked, complete. Mission accomplished.
 
OOC: Ok, now that the bad guy is dead, time to speed up to the next part

Raven watched as Scinfaxi, no longer as strong as before, was immolated before his very eyes. He smirked. And began trying to stand up, now that Scinfaxi was gone, the focus to stay conscious was gone.

Heartless ass kicked, complete. Mission accomplished.

"Heh, thank you....Chao. Make sure that Luna.....and Hal..." Raven did not finish his sentence, as he fell down, finally passed out to do a high loss of blood in that battle.

Raven started to open his eyes, when bright light flooded his vision. He shielded his eyes from the light, but his arm felt a little limp. Raven looked down on his body, as it was covered in bandages around his chest and shoulder, a result from broken ribs and a hole in the shoulder. Remarkably, he did not really feel much pain.

After regaining focus in his eyes, Raven sat up on the bed, the first thing that he heard since waking up was, "I'm glad to see you're awake....Raven." Raven, looked at the door and was surprised to see Luna by the door. While she did have a few bandages on her face, including a large bandage around her forehead, she did not look to worse for wear.

"Ugh...how long have I've been out." Raven said putting his hand on his head.

"3 days, I was scared that you would never wake up."

"......Oh." Raven said silently, how's Hal, and Chao?

"Chao's alright, soldiers came and took us to the local hospital after the Heartless was defeated. I don't now about Hal however, his injuries were just as severe as yours."

Raven then thought, "That's right, Hal took a good beating from Scinfaxi from that fight."

"Raven..."

Raven got off the bed, he was able to walk around a bit, though his legs did feel a little stiff. "Yes, Luna?"

"I wanted to ask Raven," Luna hesitated, "would you still have fought with us if your dad was still there?"

Raven looked at Luna, then looked to the side, out the window. "To tell you the truth, when I first started fighting, I did not really want to involve myself, I always wanted to find a reason to leave. But then I realized, People like us, we can't afford to turn our backs from injustice. I guess if my father was still here, It wouldn't change the fact that I would still have to fight anyway."

Luna smiled, "Come on, let's go see Hal and Chao."

With that, Raven put on a jacket covering his chest area, and walked with Chao to see Hal.
 
Hal slowly flickered his eyes open and saw the light blinding down onto him from the above lights..

"Yo somebody kill the lights"

Hal looked around - there were alot of wires in him.. the damage must have been pretty bad.. To be frank he could feel nothing..

He thought - where are these lights >:(

"HEY! I'm awake! I SAID Turn the Lights OFF!"
 
"HEY! I'm awake! I SAID Turn the Lights OFF!"

As soon as Raven and Luba heard that, they ran over to Hal's room....once there they saw Hal hooked up to life support.

"Hal..." Luna said, trying to get the wounded doctor's attention, which Raven of course made easy. Raven turned off the lights, so that the only light coming would be from the sun outside.

"I'm glad to see you're still alive Hal, just wished you weren't worse for wear, ya know..."
 
Hal rolled his eyes over to where Luna was stood

"Hey Luna... you alright"

"Raven, I'll be fine - give me a few days - nothing more to battle scars... Just go get the Doctor I need to talk to him"

"How's Chao"
 
"Hey Luna... you alright"

Luna smiled at Hal and said, "I'm alright, I'm just that everyone is alright."

Final Fantasy X OST-The Blitzers

Raven said, "I'll get the doc soon."

As soon as Hal asked how Chao is, the Eastern Cloud Princess walked into the hospital. "I'm fine, thank you very much, Raven did you ever get the message from Sora?"

Raven gave Chao a puzzled look, "Hmm?"

Luna said, "Oh yeah, Sora said that he and other survivors of Destiny Islands were heading to Unity Islands, since this world is now the front line against the Heartless."

With that Raven sighed, "Great, more guests."

"He also wished us all congratulations, not many people could defeat an Arbiter, and he hoped that with our help, we can turn the tide. Amusingly, Kairi also said that we're like 4 angels that can shine light even in the blackest night."

"Heh," Raven said, "Well, like I told you, I'm still in this fight, I still havea promise to keep with Hal, and a promise to myself, to find my father. Until then, I'm not giving up."

Luna smiled at Raven. "Kairi was right, together we show a light brighter than anything else, maybe he...was the one we really needed."

OOC: Ladies and Gentlemen, Part One is finally complete, sorry if the ending was rushed, but this Part of the RP is complete.

Part 2 of the Kingdom Hearts: Unsung War Trilogy, Into the Dusk will begin early next week as expected.
