Hal unstrapped himself

"A much smoother ride chief! your getting a good driver"

Hal stood up and put his robe back on and attached his swords around his waist.

"Okay ready- lets go aboard and meet the boss and plan our next move"
 
"Heh" Raven said, "I thank Pop's for the training." Strapping himself out of the chief's chair, Raven climbed out of from the back of the Pelican, and was welcomed into the Kestrel's group, being escorted to Commander Nicholas A. Anderson of the Radiant Garden fleet. The man was 61 years young and was the oldest officer in the force, but he has seemed to win battles time and time again. "So you're the young man who helped save Radiant Garden, my you look like your father already." Anderson said, Raven responded "Thank you, Commander, I must say, it is a fine ship you have."

"The Kestrel is state of the art, and is well noted for never taken a hit since it entered service. It is a fine ship indeed."
 
Hal lowered his head.

"Commander Anderson. It is my upmost pleasure to finally meet you. Name is Dr Hal Otacon. You may remember some of my work you guys used in the last war."

Hal extended to shake his hand
 
"Hello Dr., I personally thank you for the equipment you designed. Most of that stuff was put on the Kestrel." Captain Anderson said,

Raven then said, "So, the rest of our fleet will be meeting up here?"

"Yes, the Buzzard and the Vulture, will meet at the rendezvous point over Atlantica. I am friends with King Triton, and has allowed me to use his world for the rendezvous."

"I guess this will be an easy job after all."

(OOC: Hopefully others may join in)
 
"Not a problem Captain - am glad it helped"

Hal stood back and let the captains talk

He stood behind Luna and put his head on her sholder - "So how long is this going to take?"
 
Luna spoke to Hal, "Well, it'll probably on when the other command cruisers arrive. We could here for hours. I suggest finding something to do, there are no Heartless to fight so, you could try and catch up with your research on the Kestrel."

Meanwhile, Captain Anderson told Raven stories during his service in the Keyblade Wars 15 years ago. He knew Raven's father Erieste. He helped at one time defend the Kestrel from Heartless forces in a pivotal Battle once, and effectively turned the war against the Heartless Horde.

It would be some time before the Buzzard and the Vulture arrived at the rendezvous point.

OOC: One more post before I call up the other HCC's.
 
Hal took his head off Luna.
"Come with me. I'll show you my research."

Hal looked at the 2 Captains.

"Yo guys.. am going to go this way and do some reasearch till the battle begins.. :)"
 
"All right" Raven said, still waiting for the battle to begin.

Luna followed Hal, wondering what his research has led to.

The Buzzard and the Vulture had arrived at the rendezvous point. Protected by multiple fighters and the Kestrel Provisional Battle Fleet, they were to become the main counterstrike force against the Heartless.
 
Hal opened the door to the lab and logged into the computer.

"Years of researching the heartless whilst I wasn't taken to fight in the last war provided me with Lots of useful information. I managed to build the robots you see working for me now in that period. They all have anomatronic section of my brain. Each one can think about a certain part of the heartless which they are testing"

Hal pressed a few buttons

"I'll link to the video feed"

"Professor Hal Otacon's Research Lab. Destiny Island Branch."

"X1 its Hal!"

"Ah professor, we were just about to contact you. It seems there is a nack to shooting down heartless gummi ships... If you hit their windscreen. that block will dinsintegrate under high pressure causing the heartless inside to melt and the ship to explode. Caution only do it when far from target"

"See I told you they all think about one thing :)"

"It is their downfall and their curse. But heck - it means i can do the field research with you guys and they can research it :)"

Hal sat down in the chair..

"Thats something I need to talk to the captain about... My access to the direct feed to the military with every report that I produce. But the last few.. my lines have been broken.. I feel the heartless may have done this. This is why I send it to me directly securly so that it cannot be broken."

OOC: Since that post intrigued me, I'll probably delay the battle a little more about it

IC: Luna said to Hal, "Your robots clearly show an aptitude for your research, though I hope you don't show the same one track mind these robots have." She laughed, then when she sat down she heard Hal's statement of lost sommunication lines. "How are the Heartless able to cut your communications? I mean, if they weren't secure before, how will they be secure now?"
 
"hmm.. I'm not too sure a heartless would be able to cut the line thierselves.. I feel that it must have been an inside job - someone within the captain's crew got thier hands on that information and instead of sending it to the captain.. he sent it to the organisation..."

Hal removed his glasses off his face and rubbed his eyes whilst pressing the log off button

"Don't worry Luna.. I have been in shadows a long time - but my mind remains free not a one track such as my robots.. after all what would the point be in robots if they could think like me or you.. they wouldn't be able to work propperly because of emotions."

Hal stood up and walked to the door.

"I... have to go check the ships computer. see when the log was downloaded and who downloaded it"

"Accompany me if you wish, Raven will still be sometime"

Hal went into the corridor and the door shut behind him. The computer powered down to a logon screen.
 
OOC: Sorry, I haven't posted, I will make a post in the next 24 hours, just need to think of how to continue this.
 
OOC: its okay I'll carry on anyway and make a good story twist :)

IC: Once outside Hal walekd down the corridor to the communication deck. He had to talk to the Comms Officer

"Officer Darlkn.. my apologies for my swift entry but I must know.. how many reports have you recieved over the last 2 years..."

The officer sighed

"I just knew you would come to this.. We recieved no reports over the last two years.. In fact.. these reports were fed to the heartless.. so their weakness's were made stronger.. and no longer weakness's so everything we tried failed. Your lucky we are still alive.

Infact. I apologise but I must do this."

"Do What?"

"Guards! Arrest this man. Liasoning with the heartless. Throw him in the brigg till we land then he shall be executed."

The guards grapped Dr Otacon either arm.. as they left the room, the lab door opened with Luna walking out..

"Luna - Just run! Tell Raven and the Captain what has happened and get them down here at once!"

The guard punched Hal. "Silence you will not talk to an officer like that!"

"I'll do what I damn well please!"

The door to the brigg was opened and Hal was thrown in.

"Damn it!"

HAL!!! Luna screamed before he told her to run. She ran out of the lab and hurried out the door. After going through multiple hallways, she found Raven and Captain Anderson on the bridge. "CAPTAIN!!!!" She said to Anderson and Raven, "It's Hal, he was arrested by Darlkin."

"WHAT?" Raven said, surprised he was doing such a thing.

"There must be an explanation to this." Anderson said, "Raven, you know what to do." "Right." Raven said, summoning his Keyblade, and following Luna to where Hal is being kept.

Darlkin called on the pilots of the Heartless fighters over the radio. "We've been compromised, all fighters you know what to do." A voice from the radio said, "You have done well my friend, we'll take care of the rest." Darlkin responded, "As you wish, Master Scinfaxi."

Ace Combat 5 OST-Rendezvous

"Hey, what are those, sir, is this radar on the fritz?" The Kestrel's radar operator said. "It's shown up on my radar too, sir." Another radar op said. "Strange, how come the AWACS gummi haven't picked this up yet?" The AWACS plane finally responded, "ENEMY APPROACHING!!! All gummi ship, report back to your COmbat Air Patrol stations, protect the HCC's, Don't let them destroy even one!!!" 2 squads already on patrol, went in to engage the enemy, which consisted of lightweight gummi ships, instead of the heavier fighters, bombers and dropships used in previous attacks. This led to air duels between the Radiant Garden fleet and the Heartless.
 
Hal looked around in the brigg

"Bloody Darlkin.. I should have known he would betray me.."

"Hmm whats this..."

Hal grabbed onto a pipe attached to the ceiling..

"This could be handy"

*** Aqquired... Hefty Pipe ***

"Wait I have an Idea"

"GUARDS... ARGH MY STOMACH!!! QUICK COME!!"

Hal dropped hiding the pipe with his body

The door opened....
 
Raven and Luna traversed down the Kestrel to where Hal was talking to Luna, unfortunately, several heartless soldiers appeared and surrounded the pair. "Heartless? Inside the Kestrel?!?" Wasting no time, Raven sliced his way through the Soldiers in one stroke, while Luna casts several Blizzard spells, freezing them in place. In the same room, Raven picked up a M1911 Pistol, "This could come in handy." he said.

"What? Don't you like magic?" Luna responded

Raven imitated her speech and then said, "Whatever, I'm saving this in case I have no magic left to use." Before moving forward in the direction of the brig.

Meanwhile, Gummi ships continue their attack on the Heartless fighters. Outside the battle was a Heartless Stealth Warship, led by Dagr Scinfaxi, a person who turned to darkness and became a Heartless powerful enough to retain his human form (like Xeanhort and the Heartless Orgy XIII), "I'm heading topside soon, equip the fighters with anti-capital ship weapons, they will be our distraction, I'll personally see the destruction of the ships myself."

Yes, Master Scinfaxi." A heartless said.
 
Hal laid on the floor as the guard walked into the brigg...

"Oi you! whats going on!"

"Nothing"
Hal jumped up and hit the guard over the head with the hefty pipe..

Taking his weapon he quickly took his keys and ran up the stairs and closed the door.

"Hehe... it worked"

Hal took the rounds out of the assult rifle and scattered them around the entrence to appear like a heartless came.

He took out his swords and ran down the corridor towards the closest footsteps..

Standing behind the corner he peeked around the corner and saw Raven..

"Captain! I'm here - lets go!"
 
When Raven saw Hal behind the corner, he said, "Where's Darlkin?" He knew that if Darlkin is responsible for this, if he is a heartless, this would undermine the kestrel's fighting capabilities.

With the heartless fighters being shot out of the sky, a new pair formed outside Atlantica itself, carrying anti-capital ship missiles, ready to pounce on the RG fleet with full force.

"Shorebird Leader, this is Omega 11, the enemy aircraft are almost within range of the fleet, will we be able to make the intercept?"

"We must make the intercept!!" Shorebird Lead said before flying at high speed towards the enemy fighters.
 
Hal came around the corner fully

"Erm.. I don't know where he is.. lets find him"

Hal ran up to catch the other two up

"Hey Luna :) Sorry about my swift exit :)"

Hal pointed up the corridor..

"They brought me from down there... The communication bridge is ahead"
