Kingdom Hearts: The Unsung War

Raven saw down on Hal, and said, "I thought you were back at the village?" Raven must've realized that Riku and Kairi are capable of defending the village on their own. Raven then focused in the skies, destroying 3 Heartless dropships, preventing them from getting more of their guys on the ground.

OOC: I hope that my shorter posts are fewer and far between this time...
 
After gunning down many of the ships, a fighter craft started approaching Destiny Islands, it was Col. Nixon. "This is Commander Nixon, request permission to land." "Request denied, we're still under attack here!" "Now look, I'm on bingo fuel, and I'm going to land no mat...." A Heartless dropship fired an energy blast at Nixon's gummi ship, incinerating the ship and him in it. "Oh god...." Raven said as Nixon's aircraft crashed into the village. getting out of the AA Gun, Raven looked around and saw Luna, mortified that her commander was gone. "Luna!" Raven screamed, Luna responded as if she lost any will to continue fighting, "He's gone, our commander's dead!"

"But we can still fight."

"I don't know...."

"Look, I know the commander is dead, but if we don't beat the heartless back, it's over. His memory won't mean nothing if we're dead." Helping Luna up, Raven decided to head to the village, since he knew the base is safe.Luna then thought, "Raven.....does he really expect to take charge like this?"
 
"Come on we carn't wait... waves of heartless are intercepting the city. We have to help Kairi and Riku!"

Raven and Luna followed Hal to the boats where they had to row to the village under fire from Heartless gummi ships. Eventually they arrived, but the boat was so full of hole that it was halfway underwater when it got to the Main Island. Helping the group up, Raven and Luna ran towards the center of the main city, where they found Riku and Kairi lying on the ground. "Dammit," Raven said, fortunately, Riku and Kairi were unconsicous, much to the worry of Luna. However a figure in a Black Cloak appeared with a scythe that had a pink blade. Luna saw the figure and said coldly, "Marluxia..."

Raven yelled at Marluxia, "Did you do this?!?" But the black cloaked man did not answer, "ANSWER ME!!!" Marluxia then said, "Just a scared kid, trying to lead his group through thick and thin, while he doesn't know the full scope of what a warrior is capable of." The figured then swung his scythe, and a wave came out of it. Using whatever strength Raven had, he picked up Riku and Kairi and dodged the attack before they got seriously hurt. He gave them to Hal and said, "Take them to the base, and get back with Sora, we're gonna need all the help taking care of him."

Luna summoned her keyblade and fired several Blizzard spells at Marluxia, but Marluxia blocked it with his scythe. Raven charged right in at the Graceful Assassin. He narrowly dodged Marluxia's initial swing and tackled the former Organization member to the ground.
 
I have a much better idea

Hal opened his jacket and pulled out some smelling salts and ran it under Riku's and Kairi's nose

"Come on guys up you get there's a fight to be had"
 
Riku and Kairi started to come to thanks to Hal's smelling salts, Riku said, "Get that away from me Hal, it stinks!" Kairi, realizing what had happened said, "Where's Marluxia?"

Raven was able to punch Marluxia a few times before the assassin knocked onto the ground and tried to stab him with the scythe. This time, Raven summoned his Keyblade and blocked it. Raven then kicked him off, got up and said, "You will not harm my friends!" Marluxia got mad, and swung his scythe creating another wave going vertically, Raven moved out of the way and fired a Fire spell at him. Which Marluxia dodged.
 
Hal looked over the battle from the sideline standing infront of Kairi and Riku..

"Hmph"

"LEARN!"

"FIRE!"

Hal shot a fire spell which hit the bottom of Marluxia's black robe

"Hmph!... Come on.. Riku.. Get Kairi back to base! We'll deal with this"
 
Riku complied with Hal and took Kairi back to base. He was going to get Sora, the only person able to beat Marluxia.

While Marluxia was putting out the fires on his robes, Raven again tackled him, but this time. He made sure he knocked away his scythe before he can use it again. The fight devolved itself into something like a bar fight, with both Raven and Marluxia fist fighting each other, hoping to out last the other. But Marluxia summoned his scythe and knocked Raven with the back end of it, knocking him into a burning house.

Luna summoned her Keyblade and engaged marluxia herself, unlike the more physical Raven, she was very agile, as shown when she dodged Marluxia's attacks with ease. Casting a few blizzard spells at him, she froze him in place. But Marluxia, using his aura, shattered the spells and fired a wave at her, knocking her to a wall.

"You lose, girl...." Marluxia said with his scythe held in a position as if he was going to cut her in half. But Raven grabbed Marluxia's Graceful Dalia and said, "I said, you will not HURT MY FRIENDS!!!" In an impressive show of strength, he picked up the scythe and Marluxia and tossed him to the house across the road. Raven then said to Luna, "Are you all right?"

Luna responded, "I'm fine."

"I'm gonna need your help in taking him down." turning to Hal, Raven said, "Hal!, can you provide some cover fire? I have an idea on how to take this guy down!"
 
Hal Nodded.. "It's yours.. just tackle him and get it over with"

Hal pointed his hands towards him...

"Luna go one way towards him lets trap him..."

Hal pointed his hands one side of Marluxia and started to move fire spells closer towards him slowly giving raven time to take him out!

"All right." Luna said, Raven then said, "Do it."

Hal and Luna started firing spells at Marluxia, to keep their focus at them. Raven on the other hand began to run towards him, Keyblade drawn at him. By the time Marluxia figured it out, he was cut in half...

Marluxia stumbled backwards, dropped his scythe and said, "Hmph..Impressive." Before his heart began to appear and he dissapeared into the darkness.

Luna then said happily, "It worked, Hal, Raven, it worked!" Raven looked at Hal and gave him a thumbs up.

Ace Combat 5 OST-The Following Morning

A few minutes later Raven and Luna were having a walk back on the beach. Luna would say looking up on the heart shaped moon, "What time is it?" Raven, guessing from the moon's position said, "After midnight I guess."

"Raven...."

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry..."

"For what?"

"For dragging you into this war..."

Raven stayed silent. Luna continued, "Would you have still come, even if he did?"

"Would you have asked me?" Raven stopped speaking, then said, "I probably would have...."

Early the next Morning, the villagers began working on rebuilding both the base and the village that was hit hard. Pops's gummi ship returned as well.

Raven was working out, doing some running around the base with Sora. While running, Sora said something.

"Raven...Commander Nixon, the previous leader of the team Luna was on was killed in last night's raid."

"yeah, I know that Sora, tell me something I don't know."

"Okay, Luna put in a request for a new leader."

"And....."

"She chose you!!"

Raven stopped running, tired and panting. "She really did all that? But...I'm not leader material!"

Sora replied, "Well, she trust you could do a good job." Before he continued running."
 
Hal walked over to Raven..

"I've spoken to Luna and looked on a electronic map.. There is a large section of darkness spilling into the world off the north coast of the main land.. It could be an entrance..."

"Oh sorry i've interuppted something!"

Hal instantly turned around and walked out of earshot
 
Ace Combat 5 OST- A Blue Dove for the Princess

While Raven was busy doing excersizes, Luna was writing something in a red book. No one on the base knew what she was writing, but most people did not care, they thought it was a diary, but instead it is a book she once read as a little girl.

It has been 2 days since Raven's promotion to Captain, he is starting to worry under the pressure of leadership. He refused to let anyone down and he did not like to see people under him die. "Every life I want to fight for is important" He thought, but the next battle would prepare him for the worst.

Raven entered the briefing room, sitting next to Luna and Hal and waiting for the briefing to begin. "So are you ready for your first full mission as Captain?" Luna said. Raven kept silent, thinking about the role he would play. Luna then said, "Eventually, you're gonna have to talk."
 
Hal put his hand onto Raven's sholder

"Ah, don't let the pressure get to you buddy. you'll do fine"

Hal sat back in his chair and took a drink out of his mug

"Ah.. so whats the mission captain?"
 
The base adjucant, Reo arrived at the briefing room, he was the one who was going to give the briefing,

"The heartless made a crucial mistake in their blitz attacks, and that is that they failed to destroy any of our Heavy Command Cruisers. Data from our good friend Hal, has pinpointed where the enemy is moving their forces from. We are evacuating our HCC's to Traverse Town, and use them as a counterstrike force to attack them where it really hurts. Raven, you have been called up by Captain Anderson, Commander of the Fleet of Radiant Garden and Captain of the ship you helped protect, the Heavy Command Cruiser Kestrel. He wants you to assist in guarding the ship from Heartless as it rendezvous with the other Command Crusiers, the Buzzard and the Vulture."

Raven, paying attention to all that, said, "Sir, Yes sir!" He was still doubtful about his leadership, but he was poised to help in the war effort.

After the briefing, Raven said to Luna, "I know I want to stay calm, but I don't know if I'm ready for this..." Luna responded, "I know you can, that's why I picked you."

"I don't know why!"

"Oh, don't be such a jerk about it!"
 
Hal come up behind the two of them

"No funny business now guys :) lets keep this one clean and simple - after all... we're in the view of everyone now "

Hal walked down the corridor towards the airship..
 
The airship that the gang would be using was different than the one they used before. Instead of a small fighter it was a flying troop transport of a gummi ship. "Looks like you don't have to be cramped now Hal." The tranport was big enough to fit a team of ten inside.

While looking around the ship he noticed three seats, 2 for the pilot and co-pilot and a third for the chief. Taking the chief's seat he said, "All right, let's head for the Kestrel. Luna followed suit and sat at the pilot's seat. Saying to Hal, "Come sit at the co-pilot's seat."
 
Hal moved forwards..."Well I don't know how to fly this thing you know :) "

Hal turned around. I just got to remove some gear"

Hal took off his swords and laid them on the chair behind him. took off his white robe to reveal a black shirt and black trousers underneath. Reattaching his wristband he sat in the chair and strapped himself in

"Okay am ready :) lets go chief!"
 
The Gummi Ship, known as the Pelican, took off and headed for where the Kestrel was heading. The fleet was headed for Atlantica, a detour point on the way to Traverse Town. Raven called out on the radio to the Kestrel. "Raven to Kestrel, permission to land."

An officer of the Kestrel said, "Permission granted, stay clear of our jet exhaust"

"Will do, Raven, out"

The Pelican landed on the runway on board the Kestrel. The ship served as an aircraft carrier of sorts, and was the pride of King Mickey's Fleet.
