Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days Wins Seven Awards!

Hello, everybody! From the Nintendo 2009 Power Awards, the results have come through and we have a piece of exciting news! Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has won the awards of every single category it was nominated for:
- Nintendo DS Game of the Year,
- Best Sound/Voice Acting,
- Best Adventure Game,
- Best Nintendo DS Graphics,
- Best New Character,
- Best Story/Writing,
- Overall Game of the Year!

That's seven awards and seven phenomenal feats!

I'm clearly biased, but yay! Go KH! It deserved those rewards! xD

I do think 358/2 Days sinched voice acting and graphics. It was a mini KH game on a handheld, and the DD doesn't exactly have the greatest graphics, so seeing fully 3D rendered chaarcters and environments is a decent feat I think.

Xion was actually kind of "meh" for me as a new character, but I guess the question was how many series were there in the DS for their to be a notable new character? Maybe there wasn't enough choice? But I did think her role and circumstances which added to the over-all story, which is another category that I think the game deserved to win.

That's a lot of awards for that game, at least I've been seeing a lot. Best story/writing in most Square titles are a given.

Is this the same awards where we had a chance to vote on the website a little while back?

Anyway, I'm slightly surprised that the game received seven awards. I haven't played the game to come to a fair judgement, but I didn't think 358/2 Days was that good anyway (based on reviews and complaints of the camera and controls) to earn the Best DS Game of the Year award.

I expected it to win on the graphics and storytelling departments. That's two elements of a game that SE focuses a lot on anyway.
