I just picked this game up last night. I love FFVII and Vincent so I figured I'd give it a run through. The camera is kinda screwy but I guess it takes some getting use too. Anyways any advise as far as gameplay, weapons, camera options, do and don'ts?? Anything would be appreciated.....

I'd say make sure you upgrade your weapons throughout the game. I know I got to one of the very end bosses and it took ages to beat because I kept hitting for minimal damage since I had the suckiest gun models possible.

Make sure you use Phoenix downs on yourself Frequently throughout the level and Use LBs only in emergencies. Also try to Upgrade Cerberus as much as possible.....it's literally the strongest weapon you'll get in the game.

yeah that would be a definite good piece of advice as i had the same problem i didnt upgrade weapons alot and ran into scarlet i think it was and it took a while to get by her because she jumps around all over the place with her poxy little moves errrrrrrrrrrr shes sooooo annoying grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thats cool but why not potions??

Thanks guys I'll keep checking back. I can't play it till tonight so I'll definatly keep that in mind.. Oh yeah after the level you have a choice of exp. points or gil, why would anyone choose gil??

it comes in handy for upgrading weapons and remember Scarlet grrrrrrrrrrrrrr trust me she is a pain on the hardest setting ERRRRRRRRRRRRR but that is why they give you a choice

Gil enables you to purchase items. Some of these are EXTREMELY useful, one of which increases the Materia level you have equipped, another lightenins the weapon you're holding to make you faster, and can give you a sniper lense too. And, naturally, allows you to upgrade your weaponry.

However alternate which levels you choose Gil or EXP. Having high stats is all well and good, but you'd eventually die at bosses due to the dealing of lesser damage amounts. Like in BustaMo's situation. :p

I'd suggest going for Gil on the first few missions. You get more than enough EXP later on.

thats very sound advice there mate it is very handy to be dealing great amounts of damage rather than having superb stats because some of the bosses are a real pain like Scarlet lol i eventually killed her after pulling all my hair out of my head and nearly having a heart attack but as i went thru the game again when i upgraded weapons more than stats it was easy to kill her the second time round so its up to you really though whichever you feel more comfortable with doing

Yeah, don't spend all of your Gil at once, save some for Potions or Ammo, trust me you'll be kicking yourself if you don't ;)

Advice: Take it back, and buy something good.
I'd say that's probably the best piece of advice you'll get. It's an OK game, but there's no replay value to it, at least for my tastes. The story was linear, and so it's easy to understand it
Anyway, I'd say you shouldn't bother at all with your Limit Breakers. I only used mine twice, and both times it was more of a hindrance for me than a help. Most other times I didn't need to use one

Yeah, I suppose Limit Breaks didn't really get used that much by me on my first few play throughs but if you've replayed the game as much as I have, you get to realise just how useful they can be in tight situations, one of the advantages of using a Limit Break is being able to get up from being attacked alot quicker, which comes in very useful when fighting Shelke and Azul's final form.

Here's some advice: Don't take it back despite what Finnegan III says ;) it's worth the money, especially now as you can get it alot heaper than £29.99 which is what I paid for it.
