Help Jecht Shot

It'll be very difficult without the Jecht Shot. The Luca Goers are very good with offence and Defense, so you'll find it hard without the Jecht Shot to knock them out of the way. Know the team member currently holding the blitzball's limits. Know how much punishment he can take and rely on the sphere shot. It's very hard, but possible to win.

That can be applied to any game of Blitz whatsoever. Besides, Jecht Shot completely obliterates your HP gage and will leave you more exposed later on in the game.
 
Moved to Help Booth

You might have a few issues til your players get more exp, and I'm not sure if you have another chance of getting it. I missed it my last playthrough because I wasnt paying attention - so I reset the game and reloaded my file. If you can, reload a save file and get it
 
you don`t need the jecht shot to win the tornament.
I have did it to, three times whit out it.
And you can get the jecht shot when you have got the air ship,
just fly to luca, and tayk the boat to killika.
 
You can win even without the Jecht Shot but you have use a clever game plan i.e. retain possession and draw the players out of position (the AI is pretty stupid). Don't get too close but keep trying and the defenders will follow you, pass the ball to Tidus (now in open space) and use the Sphere shot.
