Here's the thing: i have ff8 for pc, but i'm trying to have at least one copy of each ff that came out for ps1 (already have for ps2 of course). I found a website that sells this game sealed and platinum for more a less 40 Dollars (30euros). I'm thinking about buying it, but i would like to hear some opinions about it...

You can get a cheaper price through Amazon and ebay. (Used that is.) Be careful with certain websites though. Remember, FFVIII came out in 1999. You're not going to find a sealed copy that easily. 40 dollars isn't too bad for a sealed copy.
Go for it while you have the chance. I know when I bought FFX and FFVII together back in 2002 for $40 total off eBay, it was basically the steal of my life. Now you can hardly find a game of FFVII for under $50 alone. Heck, the individual discs sell for more than what I bought the whole game for sometimes.
You can get a sealed FFVIII for $20 + shipping. I know because I bought one two weeks ago.
Game works perfectly. Sadly my PS2 and PS memory card are shot so I made it to disc 2 and my memory card corrupted my data... I was almost to disc 3 too. The reson it blows that my PS2 is shot is because I have to play at a friends house meaning I can't just leave the game on and my memory card seems to randomly corrupt my data.
Oh well. Its still worth buying, just find the $20 one on amazon like I did.

Actually, I checked Amazon's UK site and they have the PS version new starting at 12.45 pounds, which according to the online converter I used is around 17 euros. I'd say go with Amazon. I shop the US site frequently and I've never had any issues.

Well, it depends on whether you want a sealed copy or not. If you do then i'd say thats a good price. If you don't mind whether it is sealed, try good old ebay
Nop, american games don't run on pal system.
But I've made up my mind: i'm going to buy it from that website (because it arrives in 2 days and i really prefer to do purchases in national websites).
