I have a problem

It started about 1-1 and a half weeks ago. About half of the time, when I click on a site, it goes to some ad thingy! I have to go back to the search page, click on it again, and then it'll be fine.

When I look at the link at the top of the page, most of the time it will be the link of the place I want to go to. Say, if I tried to come here, the link at the top would say "http://www.finalfantasyforums.net". It used to be the same looking page, like the same layout, but each time it would have a different pic in the corner. It's hard to explain. But now it's practically anything!

I don't think it's good for my PC, and it's annoying, so what can I do to stop it

My browser? Um...google

Or do you mean the thingy I click on...cuz that's Mozzilla Firefox.

Have you downloaded any add-ons for your browser lately?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. My browser kept trying to take me to some place called Widdit.com. I finally went through my add-ons and deleted what I thought was the problem and it doesn't happen anymore. It was something I recently downloaded.

I'd recommend downloading Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to see if there is anything suss on your computer as well. That'll pick up any spyware hopefully and get rid of it for you if that is the problem.

I've heard Malware Bytes is helpful, but I had problems with it so I stopped using it. Your browser would be Firefox. Google is the search engine

I haven't downloaded anything I don't think, but I very well may have

Malware Bytes...I shall try it.

Also, not sure if it's related, but my internet is also slowing...

The common cause of this are addons.

You might wanna try disabling your addons, and or uninstalling them.
