in place on battle themes?

We can all agree the battle themes in final fantasy are amazing.... but what if the battle music went away?

what music would you use to fill the gaps?

normal battles? boss battles? surprise battles?

for me the best boss battle music would be Metallica - for whom the bell tolls

i think it fits really well for the epicness of a boss.

what about you guys?

I'd probably go for some really over the top orchestrated music for boss battles and final battle themes, maybe something from Immediate Music or Two Steps from Hell. For regular old random battles, I think you'd need something less serious, and something that wouldn't become hopelessly repetitive. Maybe some Iron Maidenish music would work, like Futureal, or Trooper.

Although I like the suggestion of For Whom the Bell Tolls for a boss battle piece. Master of Puppets as well.
