Hell Wyrm, Stage four. You are using the Turtleshell Choker so that you do not run out of MP too quickly, because you have 700,000+ Gil. Your gil runs down until you only have 55 and you only have four bars left to be finished with him. So, you decide to risk going to save, get more gil, and then come back. But on the way out, Hell Wyrm kills everyone in your party besides your party leader, your strongest charecter, which only suffers 5-10 damage from he Wendingos and Strikers outside. So, you deicde to just go with him, without curing the rest of your party members. Then... you hit a trap that kills him. :ohshit:

This happened to me, last year, on my birthday (June 24th), after two hours of fighting Hell Wyrm. How would you feel?

I ended up coming back the next day and killing him.

I got him down to 3 bars of HP, then accidently casted reflect on my party, as Fran was casting "Renew" so completely healed him.

I was fighting him while I was underleveled to.

In my first ever final fantasy xii game i versed him and didn't realise you could go and heal your team back up. Instead i used up all my MP and all my ethers/elixers and thought i was finished so i turned it off. The next day i watched some videos on youtube and found out you could leave the area and save.^^

I haven't actually got around to doing him yet. >_>

Thanks fer the tip though. Go back to save... Have Libra on to see traps, Float on to avoid said traps >_> Traps are a bastard... I've died so many times in the Penumbra sections of the Pharos because Libra/Float ran out and I hadn't noticed. T___T

Also, DLFlux, epic accidental screw up right there >_>

Major screw up, didn't realise I pressed on reflect until after it was cast either, can't remember what I was meant to use, but managed to press X on reflect instead. By then it was too late to stop Renew aswell.

Stuck it out until the end though, just added a hefty amount of time onto the fight.

As for libra, just set it as one of your top priority gambits on your party leader, so as soon as it runs it, they'll use it again straight away.

It's incredible to me that he was even an issue like that to you. I remember sort of running through Hell Wyrm like the tape at the end of the race. I just left the room and let my gambits eat him apart.

having said that, if what happened to you happened to me, my PS2 would take a third story dirt nap.

The only thing that was close to this for me was when i faced Zodiark for the first time in the Henne Mines.

It was a bitch and a half just to get to him, let alone fight him and return back to the closest Save Crystal ALIVE. I got in there half-dead, fought him for close to 25 minutes because he kept reflecting everything, and that sonuvabitch killed me just as he was about to die.

Went to bed pissed, wanted to kill many people, but slept it off, and defeated him a few nights later.

Was under levelled when fighting him, and this was on my first play through, so didn't really want to not fight the battle and just set up my gambits so my dudes could kill him without me touching the control pad. Had a decent gambit set up, but was manually using some commands.

Or was that at the OP?

I'd of been so annoyed, I spent almost 2 hours beating him yesterday. Can't say I bothered using gil in place of mp though, when I was running low, Id use a hi ether, but tbh I didnt have to do that too often because he liked to use invert on me which kept filling my mp right back up :monster:

I ahave however been caught out by traps which reallly irritates me, Id just killed an esper ...either that or a tricky hunt and I was heading back to the save point and got utterly done over I was LIVID

Hell Wyrm was easy. xD

Well I Verse him at level 88 or something around that...>_> He didn't take that long, just keept hitting him hard, and curing. When he used his Judgement move I think it was called, I equipted Sages Ring I think to adsorb the holy damage.

Hell Wyrm was easy..

I think it's high time people stopped using this phrase. It contributes nothing and it's all relative. I didn't find it easy, but I was more than 20 levels lower than you. I also didn't find it too hard either, but it certainly kept me on my toes.

People don't need to hear OLOLOL IT'S R EASY, when for some people, it cleary isn't

I revived Yazzy twice just for the sheer pleasure of fighting a foe who doesn't get swept with a single axe swipe. Never did anything you said except entering that section of the Stilshrine and my Vaan with Tournesol wiped out my whole party. I'd just beaten Zeromus and was going to save.

He had two bars left i got my three party members whit full HP and MP the other three were KO so i attack him head on and he did his finishing attack and killed my last three characters. Next day I killed him.

This cool looking bastard isn't challenging really just....a very long battle but if that would have happened to me...I would have been too pissed to turn on the game for about 3 whole hours!! e.e;;
