The fact that I could easily import Dissidia from Japan right now is very tempting to me, but it's something I keep telling myself I shouldn't do. I wouldn't be able to understand anything, for one, and it wouldn't be the same as waiting to get it in English; but the thought lingers still! ARGH! @_@

What do you think I should do? Just wait it out? I was kinda hoping it'd be out within three months or so of the Japanese release, but upon realizing the sheer scope of the game, that seems a bit unlikely. And it's been confirmed for a release in NA in "Mid-2009". So...June, perhaps? I can't wait that long! xD

Yeah pretty much you will wait until June-August for the game to be released. If your so tempted with the game and want to play it that bad, my advice is to go ahead and do it, you can understand it when it comes out... meanwhile just have fun beatinh them and unlocking everything.

Yeah, I am quite tempted; but I suppose I can wait, really. I'm just being greedy.

Besides, I dunno if I'd wanna go through it the first time without understanding anything, and then have to redo it in the English version. I think it might kind of ruin the experience, in a way.

Same as me. I REALLY want to play this game. I've been following its development for years... But I don't want to waste money on importing or downloading it through a Japanese Playstation Store, only to buy it in several months time all over again.

I also would like to understand the game I'm playing, and fear that not understanding anything would ruin it for me, as I may not experience the full experience.

I agree. If it was just a straight-up fighting game with little emphasis on story, I could import it easily. But since it actually has quite an in-depth narrative, it'd probably be best to wait.

Ok my question to you is why the hell are you not playing Dissidia Final Fantasy it is freakin amazing just go kick some ass online if you do not understand but surely it is actually quite easy to understand.

I wanna wait, though...I want to play it English so I can understand the story and whatnot.

Well if you really want to understand the story I think there should be translations soon and the story is awsome its about Cosmos Godess of harmony and Chaos God of darkness it has a nice feel to it.

Yeah, I realize that translations will most likely be available soon, but I'd rather wait for it in English so I don't have to bother looking up what just happened. xD

Plus, most of my friends won't import it, so I might as well wait.

Yeah but it won't be the right experience. Even if you play through it in Japanese, and then look up what the heck happened on the internet later.. It's better to hear everything in english, soak up the atmosphere created by their words etc.

Than to sit through scenes of "WWWooon-shacck-kkyyla! Fo-ty-ka! WONATOOKASHYLAKAAAA!!!". And not have a clue what any of it means.

But it's a choice really. But for reasons stated above, I'm going to have to try and wait. Would rather get the full experience, and not have to pay for it twice.

Well actually I have a special thing on psp that you do not even have to pay which means I could get any game I want even if its from japan or here so yeah I did not pay for dissidia lol.

Yeah I know but you should get used to the gameplay first though and then go for the story mode if you want but like your wasting time to play an amazing game. I know when the english one comes out I will get it and do everything over.

If you are Really going to wait that long than wait but you will be missing alot of things so my words to you are GOOD LUCK!!!! If you want to wait do it its your life lol.

Lol... Well here comes the dilemna... I wouldn't mind downloading it for free to have a go and get a feel of what it is like.. But unfortunatly you have to play through story mode to get the villains, so I wouldn't be able to enjoy just playing online against people without the other characters as much.

If you just want to fight and dont care about the story then go ahead and get it but it does have a good story for all the characters so i suggest you wait because of that so you can fully enjoy the game.

I think you should wait like the rest of us and find something else to do...ain't no fun playing a game that you don't understand, believe me i now because that's what happened when i played Dragon Force II. It's just a game, some other interesting titles will be released soon and you can keep yourself busy with them!

You now, that's what I was just thinking, actually. The first example is Valkyria Chronicles, which I'm getting for Christmas. That alone should keep me occupied for some time.
