...Would you mind having your two-year-old sing "We Will Rock You" from Queen? At least, just the part where they sing "We will, we will, rock you!"

The reason I ask is because...well, as some of you know, I'm a teacher at a daycare center for two-year-olds. Anyway, I was humming the song earlier and I just got so into it that I started singing the chorus part out loud. Soon, the children sang along with me. I thought, "Oh, this is great!" So I had everyone (all eleven kids) sit down while I teach them the chorus part. The other teacher started laughing and singing along too, and we were singing a couple other Queen songs like, "We Are the Champions".

Anyway, the other teacher murmured something like, "Oooh we are so gonna get in trouble"...but laughing anyway. Um, so I ask you guys, if you were the parent, would it offend you that your kids are singing "We will, we will, rock you!" all day long?

...Because they couldn't seem to stop singing it. >.> All of them. I'm just wondering if it was okay for me to teach those two-year-olds songs from Queen. o.o

Your worried about teaching them a classic song that is known the world over, don't be. If your rapping-off to eminem or someone like that, then you should worry. I was taught this song in elementary school and loved it since.

If anything, hearing their youngster singing a song they heard when they were younger, it'll make em smile.

If you really are concerned about them, give them a call. Running around singing "we will, we will, rock you!" is better than singing the latest rap songs.

Course it was okay, those songs kick ass and they're not even inappropriate. Like Tiel said, the only way you'd need to be concerned is if you'd been teaching them rap songs.

That is the coolest! I'd love for my (one day) kids to sing Queen!
Haha, you should teach them "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Don't Stop Me Now"
My favourite Queen songs.
And like Carnage and Tielknight said, its hardly inappropriate material in those songs... So teach away!

Id much rather my daugter come home singing that than the wheels on the fucking bus go round and fucking round >_<

If my two year old kid came home singing a Queen song, I would be laughing my ass off!

Ellie likes muse and U2 its fucking quality

she tries singing along to starlight

I don't see why anybody would mind, Queen is classic stuff! If my kid started singing Queen I'd be relieved. Atleast you weren't teaching them The Cheeky Girls... D=

My 5 year old niece can sing the shortened "Who Wants to Live Forever" that has been done on American Ido la few times... as much as I hate American Idol, I think its awesome that she knows a Queen song... and what even better, is that its a Queen song that was written for Highlander! :D

That's well good, it's good music for them to be singing at their age. Might give them an added boost of confidence yano? "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!" :)

And like Bond said, could prevent them from turning out to be chavs.

And Frisky, your kid sounds like a fucking legend, see if you can get her to sing Micro Cuts. Now THAT would blow me away :P

It's Muse, dammit. Track 7 from OoS. He uses his really high-pitched falsetto voice all the way through, and there's another amazing riff by him at the end.

Yeahhhh, have you heard the live version on Hulabaloo? He proper screams the high bit. But still, sounds melodic, it's amazing.

The intro is my favourite part of that song.
