If I could describe RE4 in three words...

They would be: Better then sex.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever played a game that was THIS much fun. The cutscenes weren't long and boring and dumb, the graphics were to die for, and the boss battles were actually FUN. I don't think I've ever played a game where I thought boss battles were fucking enjoyable.

And I like these zombies better then the ones from the other games. They talk and run and stab you with shit. And you can kick the hell out of them. Although that chainsaw zombie is still scary as fuck.

So, what did you guys think?
 
Amazing game, but was better on the gamecube.
Although resi 4 is comming to the pc so we shall see which version is better in the long run.
 
Resident Evil 4 is an amazing game. I hadn't played any of the previous RE's before, so I can't really compare, but this was a game that scared the living daylights out of me at one in the morning. If you like survival horror games, this is the one to grab.
 
I didn't like it so much. LE GASP

It detracted from the original concept of the RE series, which is Survival Horror.

This game is alot different....I'm not a big fan, if RE:5 is anything like it, Death will Occur in Capcom

Leon has to go somewhere to save the Presidents Daughter isn't it?

In previous games, the main Character is Ambushed by Zombies and has to survive.

In this, Leon has to kill loads of creepy looking monsters to save someone, and it's his job.

Where as in resident Evil 2, he is going to Racoon City and Zombies attack him off guard.

I can't explain it so good, but the theme of RE:4 is different to that to RE:1,2,3 etc.

And I like the Survival Horror Aspect of the games, not the way RE:4 is set up

I see where your coming from, but then again Leon and that Ashley lass have to survive in an isolated region crawling with raging wackos with ancient overgrown headlice stuck up their backsides all hunting them down and whatnot. its still survival horror, just taking a slightly diffrent approch than previously.

Personal I loved the game. really fun. Also liked it how they moved away from the whole Umbrella T-Virus shizzle. I felt that they milked it way to much after RE3:Nemesis, tho RE:CV-X was quite alright I suppose.

Saying that I would like to see RE5 return to the 'oh shit, just got into town, now traped and being stalked by bogeymen left right n'bloody center!!' sorta approch.

It's based in Brazil.....and apparenty umbrella are coming back <_<

And the character is Chris Redifield....goodie
 
Resi 4 was more an Survivor Action game rather than a Survivor Horror game and the changes they made in this in terms of controls and gameplay made this the best along with the Resi remake and Resi 2. Without doubt the best in the series and the right way to go about reinventing a franchise.
 
I loved RE4, but I wasnt a fan of the storyline really. The new gameplay is amazing, pretty unique and very new to Resident Evil :p but the whole plagas thing i didnt like. They got rid of Zombies and replaced them with a zombie wannabe xD
 
The game is amazing and its the best one in the series. Capcom reinvented the wheel with this one. No more tank like controls. If i could describe RE4 in three words...hmm.. intense, addictive, and scary.

Heh, they weren't zombies. They were actually people that had a plaga in them. And I agree about that chainsaw guy. My friends and I were screaming while playing it, lol.

Anyway, very awesome game, indeed. I like the boss fight where Leon was on a boat with those harpoons, trying to hit that monster. Ahh, so amazing!
 
well the gc version had better graphics but ps2 version had more extras
i go with extras
 
Resi 4 rocked, it took me 15 hours to do it on pro mode i think i died about 50 times, but i got an great 87% accuracy. In general an excelent game with really freaky and memrable enemies ( Dr Salvador and the iron maidens scarred me soooo much)
